  • Amazing boot!
Color: Epic Plum, Storm Size: 9 Wide
I bought these boots to wear on our trip to Scotland. More expensive brands were suggested but I decided to go with a brand that I knew. The main selling point was the claim to be 'waterproof', since we were told that with the constant moisture and rain, along with the rough terrain of the region, I needed something that could keep my feet dry and allow me to walk on wet cobblestones and rocks without slipping. These boots were remarkable! They were comfortable with a minimum of break-in and kept my feet dry despite inches deep rushing water. I would recommend them to anyone in need of affordable footwear in inclement weather. ... show more

  • Inaccurate color depiction
Color: Timber, Cinder Size: 10.5
Other reviewers said to size up. I normally fit in shoes between 10-11 depending on the brand, so I ordered 10, 10.5, and 11 with the intention of returning whatever options didn't fit best. The 10.5 felt perfect with thick socks, however I didn't plan to wear thick socks on my hikes, so I kept the 10. They weren't the comfiest, but I hiked a lot and never got blisters or sore feet. I think my feet would've slid around too much in the 10.5. This is my first pair of hiking boots ever so I wasn't sure what to look for, but I am overall happy with these. I ordered this color thinking it looked black in the picture, but they are definitely not black. They're like a dusty gray-ish purple and the details are like a salmon color. A pretty color, but not what I was expecting/wanting. ... show more

  • These boots are made for walking
Color: Blue Dusk, Admiral Size: 8
These are the best hiking boots I’ve ever owned! The support they offer for long hikes or work days where you need that extra protection is amazing. I don’t feel like my toes are being crammed together which makes my feet happy and they’re also stylish! And there’s plenty of room for thicker socks if needed. I have them in three colors now because that’s how wonderful they are (get them when they’re on sale if you can!). Hope this helps those looking for comfortable hiking gear :) ... show more

  • Light weight amazing for hiking!
Color: Peatmoss, Red Onion Size: 7
First day of hiking was a breeze! Shoes are super durable, comfortable and fit to a t. I wear size 7 women's and these were the perfect size. I love the flexibility and ruggedness of these boots. We hiked in slightly rainy conditions and they kept my feet dry. They are cute too! I used thinner black laces that grip instead of the wider burgundy laces they came with. All in all an excellent purchase! ... show more

  • AWESOME hiking boots!
Color: Elk, Mountain Red Size: 8.5
I love these hiking boots. They’re super comfy and light so you don’t feel like Bigfoot tromping around. I’m an 8.5 and I threw caution to the wind and ordered an 8.5 ( I like to live on the edge). They’re perfect. Can wear with regular socks but also plenty of room for thick socks but not so much that your foot slips around and gets blisters. When I first put them on I thought they were tight on the toes but a little walking around the ol’ apartment and they were awesome. Rocked these bad boys around a mountain town and up hiking with nothing but joyful feet. Feels like the perfect amount of ankle support. Warm but not sweaty (no thank you smelly swamp feet)! Plus you get to feel superior to people hiking in running shoes. HUGE bonus. ... show more

  • These boots are made for walking, and hiking
Color: Elk, Mountain Red Size: 9 Wide
I have picky feet. They have hardware in them- both have plates and screws. Yes both feet. Plus I've got wide feet, and use arch supports. These Columbia waterproof boots are great lightweight cool weather boots. Not the best idea for hot summer days if your feet get hot. But dang they are comfy!

  • Overall, Gravy!
Color: Elk, Mountain Red Size: 8
Updating again because I'm awesome :-)- Well obviously I love these, but even to this day they look new. No busted seams, cracks or anything. I've upgraded my laces to elastic boot laces so I can easily slide these on without having to tie any laces, for those moments while you're camping and in the middle of the night when you gotta get up and go outside. Easy least, I love them. UPDATE#2!!!- Okay y’all so just for fun i’m giving you another update on these beauties. this summer i was a Rec Leader at an outdoor nature-centric Summer Camp. The park is a protected natural preserve and everyday i was walking at least 2 miles a day through wet grass, muddy slippery rocky trails, heavy rain, dirt/dust, climbing in & out of sinkholes of limestone rock, getting splashed on by kids in the pool, etc. i wore these EVERYDAY this summer because i was not about to ruin my sneakers for the job, summer is rainy season here and it gets SO HOT so i knew it just made sense to wear these. They help up fantastic. They still look new- nothing is loose or cracked whatsoever. they’re nice and tight and crisp, albeit a little dirty :)) just wanted to let you know how they held up with everyday wear and tear bc i definitely tested them this summer. and they remain strong :). I’m going to Tennessee in a few weeks and these will again be the only shoes i bring :) you just can’t go wrong. these are my go-to shoes for moments where regular sneakers just won’t cut it. still 1000% recommend. love these so much UPDATE!- so I’ve come and gone to Iceland with these babies as my ONLY shoes for the trip- a week full of hiking, exploring and campervan-ing. They did not disappoint! The slight concern on my first post was definitely my own problem, lacing them all the way or halfway never gave me any tongue-chafing again. I LOVE the lace hooks from the ankle up- it made taking the shoes off and on in airports a total breeze. I was in freezing temps, wore with some cheap wool socks, my feet were always warm. Lightweight you can run with no problems but sturdy to where you still feel supported. It rained many times while I wore them, I even had to step into a little river to cross and continue a hiking trail- the boots were submerged to where the icy water was halfway up foot level but my feet were completely dry, (I even stayed there a few extra seconds to test the shoe’s power) the outside of the shoe barely looked wet and dried shortly after that as if it never happened. Wonderful shoes- again for the price you just can’t beat them. Would highly recommend and purchase again in a heartbeat! ORIGINAL- These are so nice! I needed a pair of waterproof hiking boots for my upcoming Iceland trip in October, and boy am i impressed. Right off the bat they are super comfy and sturdy but still lightweight- (nothing like my Dr. marten boots i own that are stylish, but feel like bricks.) great grip on the bottoms, nice height too- not too tall where they chafe your ankles but not too low where they still support your ankles. Love the colors too- the red laces add a nice touch of color and the camel color is beautiful. Very well made, great quality, suede is nice and soft, no loose stitching or anything like that-these look built to last. So far ive only worn them out once to a local nature trail through the woods, and it rained a bit while i was out. (usually i wear sneakers on that trail and wobble over the roots and rocks)- but with these, i felt so secure as i walked, they were very comfortable to wear, and even after the mud and rain- They looked new straight of of the box. I'm guessing its the way its designed, but bottom of the boot did a really good job at keeping the debris Under the shoe rather than All Over it. My only complaint, and this could by my own issue and not the shoe's, is that while i wore them, i laced them up all the way. I don't know if this is how you're supposed to wear these, because the lace hoops really only come up to the top of your ankle, where your foot bends- and above that, there arent holes fr the laces but hooks that you can use to close up the boot more securely i'm guessing.- But when i did this, i did feel some discomfort on one of my feet from the inner ankle area where the laces felt too tight and were making the tongue of the boot kinda rub and press on my foot/ankle. It wasn't unbearable, but uncomfortable. Not knocking any points off the boot though, cause i can just adjust the way i lace them and maybe i wont have that issue anymore. Overall, for the price and quality, these boots are tough to beat in my opinion. They get the job done, and they seem like they will last a long time. Im happy with my purchase. I will come back and let you guys know my experience with these in Iceland! ... show more

  • Comfortable and sturdy!
Color: Elk, Mountain Red Size: 7
I bought the Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Plus boots in Elk, River Blue. As well as the Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped version boots in Elk, Mountain Red. Both in a size 7. The blue boots are made of smooth leather and the red boots are made up of full grain leather and suede. I loved the style of the blue boot but unfortunately it was too narrow in the foot. The red Amped boots were much more comfortable for me. I ended up returning the blue and keeping the red which held up very well during my hiking trip! ... show more
