  • Powerful Performer
Style: 2*20V Circular Saw
Not the lightest saw I've ever used, but powerful and ideal for off grid use, long battery life and great for deck and repair jobs where I don't want to run extension cords or a generator. Powerful saw, with solid performance and a straight cut.

  • Lightest worm drive I have ever used
Style: Corded Worm Drive Circular Saw
I prefer the worm drive saw for most of my Is the lightest that I have ever used. I like the ability to go past 45 degrees when the need arises and the action of the guard even when cutting a bevel. With the weight of the saw low and the handle I manage to keep a straight line with ease. The built in rafter hook and the stored blade wrench are great additions. ... show more

  • Best bang for your buck!
Style: Corded Worm Drive Circular Saw
Lightest saw at this price point. The most accurate and powerful saw I own. I have seven different saws, this one is now my go to.

Best saw I have ever owned … I will never buy anything other than a worm drive again…

  • Outstanding
Style: Corded Worm Drive Circular Saw
You get what you pay for! You spend the money on this skill saw you won’t regret it. Very durable, will last your lifetime. If I had to say anything negative it would be that I wish they would send you a complimentary tube of worm drive oil.

  • Really good saw
Style: Corded Worm Drive Circular Saw
This is such a big improvement over cheaper tools. It cuts and cuts without issue and the guide makes it even more versatile. I also like that it has lower kick / jump when starting which helps from having to realign.

  • A goto pro choice saw
Style: Corded Worm Drive Circular Saw
I have always wanted one of these saws but as a homeowner who already owned a basic Skill saw I could not justify the price based on just personal use so when this dropped significantly in price on during an Amazon sales event I had to jump on it. It is a heavier and more powerful saw as compared to my 12 amp mid grade Skill saw but it plows through thick lumber easily because of the heavy duty motor and gear drive. I plan to redo my deck on my own next year so this will be put to good use. I figure the saw, as many quality tools, will last me the rest of my lifetime and I can pass them down to my kids one day when I am gone. Perhaps a Pro today would go with a modern cordless saw but as a homeowner and how I will use this saw the chord is not an issue for me and I prefer the simpler design. ... show more

  • powerful and accurate
Style: Corded Worm Drive Circular Saw
Overall, and so far, this is probably one of the best saws I have owned, and I have owned many of many different brands. What I like a lot is the left hand situated blade as a right-hander, and I like the low, aft-sitting handle. There are though a couple of areas for improvement that I hop the Skil company hears and addresses. 1. No case included or available. This is unacceptable. Make a damn case for your tools. This trend among tool manufacturers is really unacceptable. And don't give designing the cases to interns that have no clue there actually is a power cord that has to fit in the case too, and not in a 2" space. I will not buy another power tool that does not have a case made for it, and everyone reading this should tell them this too. Period. I had to buy a huge deWalt plastic box for my Skil saw, which does not hold it very well - total BS. 2. There is no way to set the saw down without it falling over onto the side of itself. It's crazy. No case to store it in, and it just tumbles over every time you set it down. Really? Are you trying to make me gouge it up and wreck it? No thought what so ever put into something so very basic. Kind of troubling. 3. At max shoe-plate lift, the blade still extends below the shoe by 1/8" or so. That additional 1/8" of an inch was too much to add to the slot of the bracket or something? Dumb stuff. So you cannot do a plunge with the shoe starting flat on the surface. What? Do these people even test their products? It's just not clear if the suits are overriding the logic of the engineers here - I suspect so. There's a lot to like about this tool, I did give it a 5 overall, which was incredibly generous, and the things I mention should definitely be addressed. If they are not, I don't expect to be a Skil customer ever again, and I will actively warn others away for all the reasons I mention. ... show more
