Season after season, the SkiGear Women's Insulated Snow Pants serve as an outstanding value priced cold weather women’s snow ski winter pant. These women’s pant feature a 100% Polyester Dobby shell with ThermaLock W/R + W/P 8000mm Coating, offering a maximum degree of durability and protection from the elements, while allowing a full range of motion. 85 grams ThermaTech Insulation offers warmth in a lightweight, low bulk garment, keeping you warm at temperatures from -20° to +35° depending on your level of activity. DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent) helps repel water from fabric surface. The boot zippers make them easy for on and off access along with boot gaiters with grippers to form a seamless integration with the boots to keep the warmth in, and the moisture out. These relaxed fit pants also include 600 Denier Ballistic reinforced ankle, scuff and hem guards to hold up against daily wear & tear, and conveniently has an O-ring for keys, gloves and/or lift tickets. The pants provide zippered hand warmer style pockets, zippered fly, and belt loops. They are water and wind resistant, and are conveniently machine washable. Sizing options include a Short 29" inseam (5'1" – 5'4" heights), Regular 31" inseam (5'5" – 5'8"), and Tall 33" inseam (5'9" – 6'1").

I am 5'5" and 205 pounds. My normal pants size is a 16, XL in tops. I ordered the XL 16/18 and they fit exactly as my normal pants would, snug. The waist was a bit too tight. It would not be comfortable to bend, sit, or play in the snow with layers underneath. The regular length was a little long, but okay with boots. I wanted to order the 1X (16W/18W) but it has been out of stock, so I went with 2X (20W/22W) The 2X was HUGE on me, even after tightening the waist, and the length on the regular 2X was even longer. I wear pants between an 8 and 9. I purchased a Mediums they are suppose to fit sizes 8 to 10. They are a little snug. IF you are interested in buying these buy one size larger if you want to layer or have some wiggle room. They appear to be made well very thick. I love the elastic at the ankles to keep the cold and snow out of my boots. Headed to Antarctica in February. I hope these pants will keep me warm. Ill add to this review when I return. I was hoping there was no Velcro on the front but there is… it always catches on my nice athletic shirts which are usually a poly blend so it really tears them up. If you are careful it’s easy to avoid but if you’re in a hurry or they are for kids… runs large too, I got a med I’m 140 lbs 5’5 should have gotten a small. They are not super warm either. Good quality for price. Repel water. Warm enough with layers under for sledding and shoveling snow. Order up a size- I wear 18 in jeans, XXL fit well with Velcro waist adjusters. XL would have been too small in hips.

I am a women in big size. It's hard for me to find pants that fit well, either too tight around my thigh or butt, or otherwise too loose along the waist. So I was surprised to find out this snow pants fit me so well that I can just put it on and go skiing directly. Way beyond my expectations, especially for the price I paid.
