I bought these to hike Old Rag Mountain in VA. I did not break them in long enough in advance like I should have, probably logging 6 miles on basic terrain prior. My feet felt amazing during and after the hike with these shoes. The hike of Old rag included a 3 mile hike uphill, 3 miles with a rock scramble, and about 4 miles downhill. These shoes really are great. I usually wear a size 8 wide but I ordered an 8.5 and they fit really well. They were uncomfortable for me the first 3 times I wore them but that is usual for me. Iโ€™ve had them for about 3 weeks now and they donโ€™t hurt my feet at all. I do wear some thick socks. I live in Washington and it rains so much here I needed something that would keep my feet dry. My feet have been kept dry with these shoes. I walk my husky regularly on a trail and it has been super muddy. These do stain easily and I should have gotten some shoe protection spray. Highly suggest getting some spray if buying these. I only bought this lighter color since it was on sale and had the fastest delivery option. They were super cute before all the mud! I do recommend getting these shoes just apply some spray to them before wearing them out. ... show more

These boots are just ok in my opinion. They aren't out of this world fantastic or complete crap. They find themselves somewhere in the middle. Just ok. I've had them for less then 2 months and am finding that they are already starting to show wear and tear. From the pictures I've included you can tell from the sole of the boot they've barely begun to be worn down, but on the inside the fabric is already beginning to fade and tear. I will say I do wear these as a daily shoe for work and not as a hiking boot. I also have plantar fasciitis, and finding work shoes is difficult for me. I work in a warehouse and a lot of walking and climbing stairs is involved. Compared with other hiking boots I've bought for work, these for me, don't hold up. They aren't very pliable which makes for a fairly uncomfortable shoe. I've been wearing them 5 days a week for about 7 weeks and I've tried everything to bend them and make them a little more pliable at least in the toe but, they are still so stiff. The support in the ankle area is probably good for most people, but I find it uncomfortable. If I was a hiker I don't think these would be the boots I would pick, for myself personally, I feel as though they'd actually do me more harm on a hiking trail then good. Just based on range of movement alone. Overall the boot has a great look and great price, I wish I liked it more. It's definitely more cost effective than some of the boots I've bought in the past, but for me the lower price isn't worth the discomfort when I spend almost 8 hrs a day on my feet running around a warehouse. ... show more

Itโ€™s a great boot, very comfortable - no break in needed. I went 0 to 100% with these on a 10 mile hike in Arizona (rocky, steep ground). My only issue is that they are NOT waterproof.
