Dr. Scholls went way up. Im cheap. I dont want to spend a lot of money on work boots. These were reasonably priced, they looked good and were non slip. They were Skechers. Never tried the brand, but I had heard good things. I got a couple of pairs and I love them. If they leave the price alone, I will buy more. If they follow Dr. Scholls, I wont. I don't care how good they are, Im not paying $90 for a pair of work boots. But these are great! A little heavy, but they are steel toe. Dr. Scholls were ultra lightweight. These are not as comfortable, but for the difference in money, they ROCK!! These so called intelligent types that run big companies feel it is a good idea to raise prices on things that are selling good. Not smart enough to understand that the price point has a lot to do with that fact. They raise prices, the product stops selling. Morons are scratching their heads wondering why they aren't selling as many. Its amazing to me how stupid these smart people are. I wonder sometimes how they can walk and breathe at the same time. Its the same with all of these morons. Raise the price, the product is selling. Before you know it, the product has been discontinued due to lack of sales. Try going back to the old price! You might just be surprised. Buy the Skechers! They are good!

I first watched the Project farm review of these boots where they placed first against boots over twice the price. I've followed his suggestions before and he seems to always tell you both the good and the bad. I normally wear tennishoes all the time but I was getting tired of having them ruined when I was doing a lot of yard work. I got these, which are overkill, but at this price there is no competition. They are sturdy and comfortable. The composite toe is strong and I've had small tree limbs hit my foot and it didn't bother me in the least and hardly left a mark on the boots. At this point I can't speak to water resistance, but based on the rest of the quality I'm sure it shines there too

I love Sketchers in general. When I first received these shoes, they were incredibly durable and sturdy and the material inside felt comfy. I ordered the wide-size 11 because I have wide feet; it still felt too narrow for me, particularly a "bite" or "pinched" feeling just in front of the outer-side of my heel. Otherwise, if they came in an extra-wide size, I would have not returned them! Can't speak for their applicability in the field (I'm in construction) because I wasn't able to test them outside but they'll probably fit other people perfectly!

I saw another comment on this before I bought them and should of paid more attention. I was walking on a wood deck after power washing it and coming down the stairs I slipped and fell flat on my back and hit my spine on the edge of the stairs! Thank the Lord I'm fine and didn't have any injury but the soles on these shoes you must be careful on wet surfaces!

One thing I like about Sketchers is the comfort they provide. I also like the consistency in sizing. I was troubled about ordering online after surgery on my left foot. However after trying on several different boots I discovered I didn’t need to get two different sizes for comfort I could just order wide or extra wide in my old size. In my case the wider shoe made all the difference in the world. After a day of break in these boots are quickly becoming my favorite shoes.

They are very nice. They are a lower cut on the ankle making them nice for work or dress. I like the way they are sealed sole to boot. No leaks.
