The Scar Audio SK-M9005D full-range five channel amplifier offers high performance from an ultra-compact chassis. This Class D amplifier uses less power, takes up less space, and generates less heat than traditional amp designs, making it the perfect solution when space is at a premium and sound quality is the ultimate goal. Don't let its size fool you, the SK-M9005D boasts an impressive 900 Watts of RMS power output (continuous), providing the versatility to power multiple sets of speakers as well as a subwoofer in your system. The SK-M9005D provides you with the tone controls you need to tune your system so that your speakers and sub sound their best. Utilizing the high-pass filters, you can remove the extreme low bass from your full-range speakers, so they'll play more efficiently. You can adjust the subwoofer channel's low-pass filter and bass boost to get just the right bass tone. This five channel amplifier comes with a remote bass knob and cable, providing the ability to control the bass from the dash. In addition, the SK-M9005D utilizes an adapter harness for the speaker outputs allowing for an easier installation. Utilizes 8 Gauge Power and Ground Input Terminals. OK. Normally I will not write a review, even if the product is horrible. When I first opened the package, I checked several labels to make sure this is what I ordered. (It was much smaller than expected). I installed the amp hoping it could at least push the four 6.5 speakers that I installed in the doors of my rogue. It sounded horrible, but I was jumping to conclusion because of the size of the amp. I didn't even adjust the gain or high pass setting. After a few adjustments the mid/hi range speakers were very good.. the amp felt hot to the touch though. I figured that i would have to buy another amp for the 10 inch sub. I decided to connect the sub just for reference.. This small amp that carries 8 gauge power/ground and 14 gauge output speaker wire is very impressive. I have no need for another amp. (it did not over heat) Note I'm not in competition phase. I just wanted an inexpensive and simple 5 channel system, to improve the factory system this amp pushes four 6.5 midrange speakers and one 10 inch sealed box sub very well ... show more

As someone who has been into car audio for several decades I was very skeptical that this amp would perform for this low of a price. I read reviews and watched YouTube vids of amp dynos and this amp is legit. It puts out more power and sound than my alpine amp I replaced with it and for a fraction of the cost. It’s definitely worth the money and it performs very well. I haven’t had any problems with it so far and it hasn’t shut down from heat or anything either. I’m pretty impressed and I think you will be too. I’m definitely recommending it and if you’re on the fence about it, go for it. ... show more

Really decent little amp with a small draw back, after setting this amp up I noticed I lost 80% of my FM channels. This is more or less the nature of class D amps, however when I tested an old class D I had laying around it did not affect the FM reception much at all. This amp rocks otherwise and most of my music is not consumed through FM so its not a deal breaker. Great support from Skar whenever I asked a question, paired this amp with 2 sets of 6.5 door speakers and their 6.5 sub enclosure and it gets loud. Also ran this amp hard for a few hours (I have good ventilation the way I mounted it) and it never gets all that hot. great product just beware of the FM if this matters to you. ... show more

Didn't want to deal with power distribution to multiple amps, and didnt want to run 0/1 guage for higher wattage amps that don't put out the power they say. Ha e this amp running 6x9 Alpine R components, 6.5 Alpine R, and a 10in solo L5 on 4 guage wiring. This thing pushes the entire system HARD! Sounds amazing! If youre a minimalist on a budget and looking for a single amp that will run an entire system, I dont think you'll find any better than this. ***NOTE*** One thing I DONT like..... all 5 channel connections are done through a single plastic 12 pin connector into the amp. I'm sure it's fine as the wire is heavy enough, but it means you will have to make wiring connections(butt connectors or solder). I don't plan on changing anything any time soon, so I'm fine with it I guess. ... show more

I installed in my boat and have 4 channels wired to the cabin speakers and 2 subs to the single channel at two ohm load. Sound quality isn't bad for a cheap amp and it definitely has it's rated power. My speakers are LOUD. I'm hard on stereo equipment in boats so we'll see how it does in the long term. ... show more

Do not mount this flat onto a surface without a decent sized gap underneath. It will overheat, especially in southern states. There is a fan on the bottom don’t block it! I loved this little amp until 1 channel decided to die on me, luckily under warranty Skar Replaced it for me after I paid 45$ in shipping. I asked to drop it off at there service center as I live 30 minutes away and they wouldn’t let me. Silly If you ask me. After replacement the new amp runs sooooooo hot. It cuts out before peak performance. And honestly I’m now just disappointed. I’ve only had the new one for a few months. Going to have to get in touch with Skar again…. Honestly you might be better off with Planet Audio. In my last car I used planet audio for the setup and have 0 bad to say. ... show more

This amp has a lot of good things going for it , small foot print, powerful, clean sound up to clipping point i must say I'm impressed as someone that has been doing this for sometime now i give this amp a big Thumbs up. only thing i seen, it doesn't have a fuse built in on the chassis but it has a fuse on the main supply line so really no big deal ... show more
