These are hefty and feel high-quality. I'm sad they are no longer made in USA but I knew that when I bought the set. I would have preferred an actual carry case to the foam insert, but again i knew that when I purchased. The foam insert does hold things securely.

Nice socket set for the money.. The sockets are well marked and easy to read and identify. It seems SK has maintained the quality of their ratchets.

Ordered this set thinking that the sockets were still made in USA. (Too good to be true ). What I like about this set in particular is that sockets goes over 20mm. Can use this set if your working on large commercial trucks. Now the down side, it’s made in China, and sockets resemble Harbor Freight sockets.(Pittsburg pro). Just as long you don’t use an impact, they’ll be fine. The ratchet, sounds loud and not as smooth as a Harbor Freight ratchet. Will these socket set last? TBD.

The famous US company SK went through a lot of changes over the years which not too long ago led to them being purchased by a Chinese owner. Now most of the SK tools I've seen of late or made in China or Taiwan. This set is marked made in China. The ratchet does have the classic SK style head which you can compare to a gear wrench in one of my photos. Fit, finish and quality I'll look very good. I'm sure these will last for several lifetimes. The sockets are all six point, which is preferred in my opinion in these big sizes. If you're using a half inch socket set then chances are you're applying a lot of torque. Six points are better than 12 for dealing with that situation. They're almost no skipped sizes in this set which is also wonderful. The only skip I see is between 30 and 32 mm in the deep sockets. I don't think a 31 mm bolt head is anything close to common so this really isn't an issue in my view. Finally, note that does come in a nicely made foam organizing tray. The tray is, however, fairly deep and will only work in a pretty deep tool drawer. I couldn't quite bring myself to give it five stars because I still lament the loss of yet another onecr great US manufacturer.

Not my first ratchet set, but definitely nicer than others that I own. This set is not lightweight, not in the least bit flimsy, comes with good quality sockets, and the ratchet itself has more teeth than the ~80-100 tooth ratchets that I have. You barely have to turn this one to start engaging it, and can operate it in super tight spaces as a result because even if you can only do small turns at a time before having to reset the socket, it starts driving with even the slightest of turn. Comes with a ton of commonly used metric sockets, and they're thick and robust as well. The included extensions are a nice addition to the set. It comes in a foam holder (not really a case per se, as there is no closure or lid) that ACTUALLY holds every piece securely. Not one piece was out of place when I unboxed it, and within a reasonable amount of force none are moving or coming out unless you intend to get a piece from it. I do find it a bit irksome that one of their pictures states "Brand of USA"...although that is accurate, the set is not MADE in USA, and at a glance this could be confusing for some if they're just skimming a picture, they see "USA", and assume that is the country of manufacture. As it is, this set is Made in China, but it is quality so at least it has that going for it. Overall, a very nice set!
