    • Great design, over priced, should have been a thin steel rule die.
This is so wasteful, this company could have fit so much more into this die, only half the space on this base is used up. The shapes are so simple, anyone could draw these out and hand cut their own, given all the green house gas emissions that were wasted to mass produce this, it could have been easily sold for less than a dollar as an .svg cut file. Its going to require a lot of work and a lot of extra product to get the cut pieces to look like they do in the photo. IF you can do all that, the finished design is a very nice classic for all flower dies, however, it can't be scaled (like an .SVG file) to work with other dies, my biggest frustration with these expensive dies. Sizzix needs to improve on the value of these "bigz" dies by either putting more cut pieces into each one if they are left with a lot of empty space, or they need to plan on letting go of them, particularly if the steel ones are now able to cut through thin chipboard. The only dies now that really have an advantage as non digital are the very intricate ones. I haven't bought dies in a long time and had forgotten to look for a product listing on Sizzix to see what the actual shape pieces look like. ... show more

I used this die for the first time to make my sister a birthday card. It was fun to use a variety of flower and leaf punches and die to fill my terracotta pot. Detail was added to the pot with my black stamp pad. I can't wait to do more with this item!

    • Watch out! Make sure it is compatible with your machine.
This is like a steel-rule die, very thick. Didn't work with my machine, so I can't really rate it (gave it 3 stars because I had to rate it somehow). I didn't know what BIGZ meant. It's not the product's fault, it's just my inexperience. Too bad because it looks like a wonderful die to have.

After cutting these out, I inked up a wood grain embossing folder and they came out so realistic! Great for making Mother's Day cards with flowers popping out of the top! I'm very happy with this purchase. Thanks Tim and Sizzix!
