The Around The Block women's bike is available in four gearing options: 21-speed Shimano Tourney derailleur and EZ Fire Plus shifter help you tackle demanding street, trail, long distance, and uphill riding. If you don't mind perhaps getting some replacement parts, particularly the brakes, this bike will probably be a great fit for you. But you'll also need some patience and maybe some of your own solutions for things. For starters, the instruction manual does technically tell you how to assemble your bike, but they're like, generic instructions for a totally separate bike, which isn't ideal. The bike includes useful tools for assembling everything on your own. However, my bike's handlebars came tightened insanely hard, and it was impossible to get enough leverage to loosen them without something extending the provided hex wrench or by using a power tool. The color of the bike is great. Not quite as striking a seafoam green as in the product listing, but still quite attractive looking, as well as the design. The gear shifters are grippy and nice, and the handlebar grips are comfortable, though the gear shifters are a little stocky, and the cables jut out really far and are easy to snag on things. But in particular, the brakes are horrible. I don't know why they think this is okay, but the brakes sound like a horn when you're holding them, and they're not even good. Oftentimes I'll have to white knuckle both of them to stop anywhere near quickly, and I did in fact adjust the brake tension. I've just been stopping with my shoes instead. I haven't tried replacing them yet, but I would imagine it's because the brakes are made of some... cheap polymer or something. The bike seat also seems to wiggle forwards and backwards no matter how tightly I adjust it, so I may replace that too. All in all, a little expensive for what I feel like I got out of it, but it is a nice-looking bike. That's probably what you're here for anyway. ... show more

The bike came FAST. Though assembly was required, that was fairly easy. The toughest parts (brakes and gears) were already assembled so it was basically just putting on the front wheel, handle bars, seat, pedals, reflectors, and back rack. It also came with tools that worked perfectly. I only had to go to the bike shop for some bike grease (for the pedals and seat) and to put air in the tires. The front wheel did get bent in shipping but the bike shop fixed it for no charge. There was also a little paint rubbed off on the center of the handle bars but it's not that noticeable. The front and rear brakes also needed a little tweaking but for the most part, the bike turned out great! Very happy indeed! 😃 ... show more

I got this bike for my daughter because she loves the style, with cruiser handlebars and 7 gears. For most of you who order this bike, you will probably give it a 4 or 5-star review because assuming they give you the right bike with the right pieces, it is fairly easy to assemble, looks nice and works pretty well. I will say after having the bike a while I notice that the bike seat and handlebars will get loose and you really need to tighten the heck out of them and will still loosen over time. The bad- I got the bike, and the delivery only took 3 days, amazing! I started constructing the bike and when I was putting on the front wheel something did not seem right the brakes were not aligning right. After further inspection I noticed that the wheel I was given was not the right size, the bike I ordered had 26” wheels and the front wheel I got was 24”. So I call SixThreeZero to inform them of the error. They tell me they can get me a new wheel and should have it in a month,…. a month. I had got this for my daughters 14th birthday and a month was going to eat 1/3 of the summer she could be enjoying biking. After thinking a bit I was like wait I can order a whole new bike and get it in 3 days. So I say “How about I return this bike and just order a new one. I see it on Amazon and I can get it in 3 days” After customer service did some checking with their parts people, “you know what we can get you the new wheel next week.” I thought ok this is not great but probably easier than trying to return this bike, plus I already have it all built it, just need the front wheel. So I said “ok”. They emailed me that an order was made and I was able to check the order online. Upon checking the order a couple days later to see where my wheel was I noticed they did not enter my address correctly with transposed numbers in my street number (*sigh) so call them to have it corrected. They can correct it but because it was already out it will be delayed a couple days. Ok… I concede a couple more days. So after 7 days I do get a package. “Hooray!” it is my new wheel. I open the package and indeed it is the right size wheel “rim”, but what about the rest of it…? I mean did they think I just needed the rim and not the tube and tire? Ok maybe I could have been more clear but shouldn’t the people work there know how their bikes are shipped out, you know with the like the whole rim with tube and tire on the rim and even partially inflated I might add?? Ok time for another phone call. “Hello- yes I got the rim/ hub of the wheel, but I did not get the tube or tire of the wheel. To be clear I need the whole wheel, this time also noting it needs to be in the same style as the back tire on my bike as I don’t want them to be mismatched.” To be fair I have talked to customer service (now several times) there and they have been polite enough, but I am starting to get frustrated. So another order in , I wait a couple of days and see my order is still not out for delivery, after several online chats and phone calls asking why my order is not out, (also each time they say “oh we show the wheel delivered”,,” “no that was the other incomplete wheel, you will see there is another order right..” At some point they let me know it will go out in a couple of days, and I was like “You have got to be kidding me I ordered this bike two and a half weeks ago and still do not have a full bike, .. plus some further frustrated language nothing crude” Was able to get a call back and yes they would ship it out that day, you know just several days after they told me they were shipping it before. A couple of days go by , and this time got the whole wheel, it fit and everything and my daughter was able to enjoy her new bike. As a bonus I still have a 24” wheel and 26” rim in my garage so if they mess up your order and you need a 24” wheel probably faster to just reach out to me, lol. ... show more

My hubby - This bike has ZERO asbestos or lead. It's also gluten free, cage free, no sugars. Extremely safe as long as you don't ride it, and even then it is still very safe. You can go backwards, but mostly forwards. It doesn't go up but that's okay. It even came with itself! Me - I adore this bike, assembly was fun and I added all the mommy upgrades possible so I can tow around my 3 and 5 year old little ones :) Its basically a bike version of a minivan now and I love it!! ... show more

I reluctantly had to replace my 25 year old Schwinn and this bike is better quality than what I thought I would get for the value. It's simplicity is what I needed on a daily basis to check our mail. I added a utility basket and the rack on the back works well to strap packages on. Thank you for making the assembly easy and providing all the necessary tools within the package. Your story and cards included are most inspirational! We didn't need to call Jacob, the mechanic, but what service knowing that we could! Hopefully this will last until I am too old to ride anymore:) ... show more

I am a 68 year old single woman. I put together bicycle myself one afternoon. Needed a YouTube video in order to put together because I could not understand some of the assembly manual instructions. The YouTube was very clear. Believe it was made by sixthreezero. Other than that, it was delivered sooner than expected and very well packed. I have ridden my bicycle to church.
