I wanted to get a container that would keep my milk separate from my cereal in the morning while I bring it to work. This container does do a good job, but a little bit of the milk does end up in the cereal before I want it to, but not enough to make me unhappy. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the container itself does leak and is not a perfect seal. For the most part and 95% of the time I don't have any milk leaking from the seal, but every now and then, I notice that there is milk in my car's cup holder where this container was sitting. ... show more

I have been trying to find a way to bring cereal with me to work in the mornings without just keeping milk at work. Portion size is fine, it holds about a cup of liquid and a cup of solids. I put cereal in the bottom and milk on the top so it was closer to the seal. I didn’t notice any leaking on my drive to work. I kept it near me on my cup holder. No milk leaked into my cereal. I've had a hard time making time to eat breakfast during the week. I was in the habit of enjoying high calorie weekend brunches. I wanted to eat oatmeal to help lower my cholesterol, stabilize blood sugar and lose weight but I never took the time to prepare it early in the morning. Overnight oatmeal was my solution and this container makes prepping it super easy.     • So small - NOT for milk and cereal

This item should not be advertised as something that can hold milk and cereal unless you're on a very light diet or preparing meals for a very small child. From the description, I was expecting the dry piece to be 17.9 ounces and the liquid piece to be .5L (16.9 ounces). The entire thing is 16.9 ounces, and the bottom is restricted to about half of that. This would be one stars for milk and cereal. However, just because the description was confusing, this container does look like the lid locks pretty well. I'm still returning mine because I wanted it primarily for milk and cereal, but I could see it being great for fruit on the bottom and yogurt on top. As others have mentioned, the spoon being on the inside of the container is a terrible design if you wanted to put anything like yogurt on the bottom. If you're using it for snackables, it's probably a 4/5 with the only star being deducted for poor spoon placement. TLDR: Way too small for milk and cereal, but could be useful for fruits/veggies and dips. Maybe yogurt, but if you put it on the bottom, you'll be licking the spoon quite often. ... show more

I like the simplicity of this container. I was using it for Cheerios I'd pack for lunch, and my husband used his for yogurt, utilizing the inner compartment. Neither of us bothered using the included spoon, but it's a nice option if you don't have any other options.
