I like the updated style of the cereal container. The old style kept cereal fresher longer than just the box&bag but the seal was only around the lid. With the new style adding a seal around the pour opening I believe the cereal will stay fresher even longer! Unfortunately, my issue is with Amazon shipping. My container arrived with a cracked lid and even though I ordered NEW, the packing slip states it was shipped from Amazon Returns. I am returning this one and getting a replacement that hopefully arrives intact. ... show more

First off, I have used the Sistema containers for years and loved them, never had an issue. But somewhere in 2021 or 2022 they changed the lid/hinge design so that instead of the hinge being on the container and snapping over the lid, it now is on the lid and snaps over the container. Shouldn't matter you'd think but for the first time ever, the plastic hinge piece broke off after less than two months of not even weekly use. And so now it is useless and of course after the return period. Very disappointing. I've included pictures of the new design, broken, in the first picture, and the old design, still working! on the right. I can only assume the new design was some cost cutting measure but I won't be buying these again like that, they're way too expensive to have to throw away that quickly. ... show more
