I really love this tripod + ball head. It is compact and lightweight. Using one hand, I can untwist the leg extensions quickly and easily in one motion per leg. When packed up, the legs are reversible which shortens the overall stow-away length by a couple of inches. This reversibility allows me to shoot on uneven surfaces & from above with limited or no visible leg interference. Each leg can be unfolded & clicked into pre-set notches, which keeps the legs from splaying out to a wider stance. However, at the highest setting, the stance is rather narrow & the notch only works one way. This means that a narrow stance doesn't have any resistance from folding together, only resistance keeping them from splaying further apart. A backpack or weight can be hung from a retractable hook underneath the main stem to counter this tendency if needed. I haven't had any issues with it so far. Seems very well built & fairly sturdy for a travel tripod. Easily fits a small/mid-sized backpack. The metal B-00K ball head is a little heavy for its size, but being metal it moves smoothly and locks into place well. This extra weight isn't a detractor as the carbon fiber legs are already super light. I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more

It initially seems to be lightweight, easy to handle and will serve my travel needs when I want to throw it into my pack. Being lightweight, it might waver in the wind. There is a hook to attach weight at the bottom. The one thing I do not like is the need for a separate unattached tool to tighten the ball head plate. Love the compact size! I did not keep it because it did not seem sturdy for the camera. The ball head seemed awkward and was not easy to adjust quickly when trying to photograph wildlife.

This is a great travel tripod. I've taken it from the Northeast USA to Florida to Australia and more. I like it so much this is the second time I've purchased this model from SIRUI. This travel tripod is fantastic. We run a Sony A7iii with the extended battery at times or large zoom lens and this pod holds up like a champ under everything we have thrown at it. The cost is high but in my personal opinion it was worth it.
