It initially seems to be lightweight, easy to handle and will serve my travel needs when I want to throw it into my pack. Being lightweight, it might waver in the wind. There is a hook to attach weight at the bottom. The one thing I do not like is the need for a separate unattached tool to tighten the ball head plate. This is a great travel tripod. I've taken it from the Northeast USA to Florida to Australia and more. I like it so much this is the second time I've purchased this model from SIRUI. It folds down into my travel camera bag and is lightweight but very sturdy. I've mounted both a Z6 and a D750 with lenses up to 300mm without issue. ... show more

I bought this tripod because I knew I could not carry much weight and I was feeling curious about this brand. It is very light and practical. I used it under windy conditions (50mph) with my backpack attached to it and it was okay for a 1/4s photo. I used it for night photography with about 30s exp it worked using the backpack with a little more than 3 pounds/1.4kg of camera+lenses. Without the backpack to make it more steady or using heavy lenses/camera it is often a mess, but it's fine for my type of use. It does not have a scratch and it resisted water and sand untill now (about 5 months). I reccomend it for landscape, hiking and travel photography. Don't recommend if you are going to use more than 4 pounds/1.7kg of camera+lenses. I have a heavy camera, I use it with 75-300mm lenses sometimes, and it is a pain to get the framework right. If it's light, compact and cheap you must have some cons. ... show more

Don't expect this to be super lightweight compared to carbon-fiber models. But it's fair, I use it in trekking trips, it's compact when folded, and can withstand harsh conditions like wind and rain. The ballhead high-quality.
