  • The anamorphic element group in the lens squeezes the horizontal field of view 1.33 times to produce the 2.4:1 aspect ratio. As the focal length shortened to 24mm, the angle of view also gets wider, rendering an expansive horizon.
  • One of the obvious changes for the 24mm lens is reducing the minimum focusing distance to 0.6m, therefore, you dont have to back away too much to focus the subject when shooting space is limited.

If you want to add some JJ Abrams to your budget conscious film you'll probably want this lens. The flares can be a little much if shooting in the dark but overall the lens is amazing. I'm getting a 5120X2160 image (unsqueezed) out of my standard 4K (3840x2160) Fuji XH1. These whacky x shaped flares might be due to my windshield having some defrosting elements embedded in the glass... will need to do more testing. ... show more

Got it today. I bought the RF-compatible mount for my EOS R10 and it is impeccable. While it is rather heavy, it is very fun to shoot with and has great cinematic qualities. I definitely prefer this over the 50mm lens (which in itself is also an awesome lens) due to the wider field of view. If you want an anamorphic lens, Sirui is certainly the best. ... show more
