- The anamorphic element group in the lens squeezes the horizontal field of view 1.33 times to produce the 2.4:1 aspect ratio. As the focal length shortened to 24mm, the angle of view also gets wider, rendering an expansive horizon.
- One of the obvious changes for the 24mm lens is reducing the minimum focusing distance to 0.6m, therefore, you dont have to back away too much to focus the subject when shooting space is limited.

This lens has a nice quality in low light condition, the anamorphic style will put your projects in the next step. This is my first anamorphic/cine lens and I'm very happy, it's what I mainly use in my Sony FX30, a decent wide angle, good T2.8 aperture for low light conditions. It's amazing. I'm considering to buy the SIRUI 40mm anamorphic with auto focus, defenetly I will keep SIRUI lenses in my gear from now on.

While I am sure it probably isn't the highest quality anamorphic lens, I really like the shots that I get out of this especially after adding an oval aperture insert into it.

I should use it more. It’s a little bit heavy and obviously it doesn’t have auto focus. But for the price, it is phenomenal.

This lens is super sharp and the images I got with my Sony A7s iii and Sony A7 IV have been gorgeous. It’s on the heavy side and that’s quite already. Very well-made.

If you want to add some JJ Abrams to your budget conscious film you'll probably want this lens. The flares can be a little much if shooting in the dark but overall the lens is amazing. I'm getting a 5120X2160 image (unsqueezed) out of my standard 4K (3840x2160) Fuji XH1. These whacky x shaped flares might be due to my windshield having some defrosting elements embedded in the glass... will need to do more testing.
