Soft, and don’t be dissuaded by the texture. I don’t even notice the ridges/pattern of the topper. I prefer a neutral mattress feel, but slightly soft. The 2” topper gives enough balance where I sink right in but also my back feels supported.

Update: Customer Service reached out to us after seeing the negative review. They were extremely apologetic and send a new mattress immediately. We did not get a chance to inbox it until last week. The mattress was in perfect condition and we placed it on our queen size bed immediately. After 3 days of use, it is both comfortable and in good condition. Thank you Customer Support! Purchased the queen sized mattress topper in April and did not open the box and place it on the bed until 15 May. The bed with mattress topper and down mattress protection cover was used less than 30 days total. Took the mattress protection cover off to wash and found that the mattress topper had split in two places. I realise that it was outside the return dates but contacted Amazon because a mattress cover should not deteriorate at that rate. Was told by Amazon that I had no recourse because it was outside of the return time. They told me to contact the seller via the sellers website. There is no place on the sellers website to contact them! Called Amazon back and when I asked if they had a number to call the seller, they put me on hold and then 10 minutes later disconnected the call. First there should be some way to contact the seller if things are sold on Amazon. Second Amazon needs better customer service. I would not recommend purchasing this mattress topper. ... show more

I have used this topper for awhile now. I am editing my original post and have found this topper not as expected. It does not stay on my mattress, it shifts during sleep to the point I have to adjust it to stay on the mattress. This requires getting off the bed, taking the bedding off and physically lifting and adjusting the topper, remaking the bed, and hope it stays put. Very inconvient to say the least. I have to do this several times a week, and now I am thinking I should just take it off and s store it away. The quality is good, I don’t know if it is gel construction, but feel maybe not, as it is a light in weight. It does fill in when you first get it and lay it flat. It does take time to come to full size. If it was gel construction wouldn’t it be a little weighty? Just not what I expected. ... show more

    • Not gel, not memory foam, and damaged

First of all this product has no gel in it whatsoever. Second it’s just a piece of foam cut in the shape of your bed. Third what they sent me was absolutely not 2 in , not me with foam, and not gel. Then it was ripped! Once you get it out of the box it expands and there is no way to get it back in the tiny box it was sent in. Which btw is what they expect you to do if you return it. You have to find a box big enough pack it up and seal it to drop it at ups. If you want to return to kohl’s you have to put it back in the manufacturer packaging and that’s impossible to do!!then the sellers contact me multiple times after seeing my review. They offered a refund but at that point id already sent it back all packed up in a box I had to put and buy along with tape. Then they offered me to pick out any mattress topper I wanted in exchange for hopefully changing my review. I informed them this was against Amazon policy for them to contact me asking me to change my review. In the end they were supposed to send out s 3ij purple gel memeory foam topper and they sent me a Couple Messages saying it had been shipped . I got an email from Amazon showing they shipped out the exact same piece of garabge foam they previously delivered. Needless to say I wouldn’t buy anything from this company. They don’t keep their word, the tracking of number they sent doesn’t exist. There’s some real shady stuff going on with this business. ... show more
