These work perfectly for long-term storage of 4 5-lb bags of flour, protecting the flour from pests and moisture. I'm sure they'll work for other items, too, but we bought them to store my good bread flour safely. They stack together neatly and leave little unusable space between, not like round buckets.     • Sturdy but light, square shape will hold grain for me in a smaller space than round buckets
Perfect to store bulk dry foods and 4 gallons will not be too heavy. Square corners are better for pouring than a spout. Lids fit fine too.

Not very thick, and once you remove the lid strip the underside has sharp/rough edges. Uncomfortable to open. I'm going back to traditional round buckets.

Not 'heavy duty', but these containers work nicely for me- which is holding either dried fertilizer or other dried chemicals without worrying about spillage.
