I have been using a Neti-Pot for years and wanted a 2nd one for travel. I bought this one because I thought it was a good price and looked like a good one. I am happy that this pot is much easier to use than my last one. It is light colored plus has a easy-to-see fill line so it's easy to tell when you hit the correct water level. (My other pot is dark blue and it's nearly impossible to see if you are at the fill line even when shining a light on the pot!) This one is so much easier to use, plus the top seals pretty well so I can swish the water and salt around to mix it (though I do get a few drops). My other pot does not seal properly and water goes all over. Generally, I think this one works well and I definitely like it better than my old one. ... show more

    • Best nasal rinse I've ever used

I previously used neilmed sinus rinse for years as it had been suggested by my ENT, but the last time I bought saline from that brand, I was sorely disappointed. Half the packets were completely empty and the other half had less than usual in them. So I knew this time, I wanted to try a different brand. I also previously knew nothing about isotonic vs hypertonic solutions so I was really intrigued when I read that. I have only had this product a few days but I have been amazed and impressed. I tried mixing both isotonic and hypertonic solutions. Even the single packet for the isotonic solution felt like it helped clear out A LOT more than the neilmed ever did. But then the next time, I tried 1.5 packets and it was even better. And then finally just tried the 2 packets for a full hypertonic solution and I feel like I will never go back to anything else. I can't remember the last time my sinuses felt this good! The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that the bottle feels a little awkward for some reason but it might just take some getting used to. ... show more

Who knew? In my 57 years of life and dealing with sinus infections every Spring, I got a whopper sinus infection right now and needed more relief then OTC meds could give. During my search Neti pots came up, which led me to this. It came in one day and I was able to use it yesterday for the first time and WOW!!!! Right afterwards my sinuses were clear and I could actually smell and taste again! The only thing that's slower in draining is my ears, I did a 2nd rinse this morning and they actually started draining during the course of this rinse. My only mistake was not reading the description thoroughly, I thought the neti pot had a microfilter and I could use warm tap water, which I did yesterday. I came back here to read more this morning, and the only one with the microfilter is the squeeze bottle, which is only $1.00 more. So I boiled the water for 5 minutes and had to wait for the cool down. LOVE this thing and I think I'm going to purchase the microfilter bottle now!! ... show more

    • Cleared my sinus infection so fast!!

My preschooler brings a ton of junk home. Normally I avoid it, but his recent cold got me good and it ended with a painful sinus infection. I was trying to avoid going to the doctor or urgent care, so I ordered this. I’m not new to neti pots; I used one all throughout my pregnancy and it really helped with my pregnancy-induced congestion!! Also worked like a charm when I developed bronchitis during my 3rd trimester. I read the box and decided to try using 2 packets of saline to make a stronger solution. It said to work up to that, but I was desperate for relief!! It didn’t burn at all. Of course I boiled and cooled my water first. I used it for 3 days, just once in the afternoon. By the 2nd day my nose was less stuffy and my snot wasn’t greenish-yellow anymore. My sinus pain completely subsided by day 3! Highly recommend it!! If you’re pregnant, this is a lifesaver. Style: Micro-Filtered Squeeze Bottle
I don't like taking pills for my allergies this has helped so much, I have sinuous and never realized the swelling on the side of my bridge but I noticed when it was gone. I usually have trouble sleeping with phlegm hanging out between my nose and throat using this cuts that out. I find I get the best results using two packets otherwise my nose runs still so I do that every two days ot states using two packets dries out the sinuses and that it does. I usually can only breathe through 1 nostral but using this I can breathe much better. ... show more

    • Horrible taste is gone!
Style: Micro-Filtered Squeeze Bottle
As some others experienced, the first time I used it, it left a horrible taste/odor in my mouth/nose. It was so bad I decided I'd never use the thing again and almost threw it in the trash. I decided to disassemble it, bottle, cap and filter and just let it sit and get air for 2 weeks. This evening, I decided to give it one last shot and low and behold the horrible taste is gone! I'm guessing it's something that was used in the assembly of the filter that needs some time to dissipate. So for those who have experienced this really bad taste, try letting it air out for a couple of weeks. It might just fix the problem! ... show more

    • Prevents Brain-Eating Amoeba!
Style: Micro-Filtered Squeeze Bottle
Props for being the only nasal rinse solution to filter out brain-eating amoeba. I use a nasal rinse 3-4 times a day, and credit this practice for eliminating my formerly-frequent sinus infections and preventing colds, etc. But the recommended heating distilled water in the microwave for preventing rare but deadly parasitic infection is a PITA solution. I can fill this with warm tap water and go, so yay. However, it is pretty awkward to use. The filter slows the flow of water a fair amount. I think if you use the slow pour neti-pot method, you'll love this. I'm used to blasting my nasal passages with the squeeze bottles, and the filter on this thing prevents that much water pressure from going through. Also, the filter doesn't completely empty after use, so the first squeeze is cold water from the last use, which is uncomfortable. I almost gave it 3 stars because I don't really like it, but it works as intended and is the best option out there, so 4 stars and I will continue to use it. ... show more
