This was a good book for a beginner which I am. Bottom line is be sure you know how your banjo is tuned i.e. open "G" or "C" etc. Can be very frustrating if you trying to learn chords and your reading the chord configuration if the banjo is tuned to "C" and your looking at the chord configuration for a banjo tuned in the open "G" position. Otherwise it was a good beginners book. Photos of the individual configuration would have helped some. ... show more

This is a very handy book. However, I've only used the first 30 pages so far because that's the section with open g tuning. I haven't ventured out further yet. I'm in my first year.
