Description

Dead girls don’t feel pain. But they like the taste of vengeance. Maybe that’s why I came back to my hometown. Because it sure as hell wasn’t for the surf. But what else was I supposed to do when I found myself in Sunset Cove with twenty bucks to my name, the key to my enemies’ secrets hanging around my neck and a mouth full of grave dirt that wouldn’t wash clean? I hate the Harlequin boys. But this is the perfect opportunity to take what they owe me. Because once upon a time, they broke my heart, stole my life and sent me away from everything I’d ever known. Fox, JJ, Chase, and Maverick. The four names tattooed onto my heart more permanently than any of the ink on my skin. They don’t just live in this town anymore, they rule it. And the view here may be beautiful, but the sun, sea and sand hide dark secrets. The gangs. The lies. The violence. It all lurks beneath a veil so thin that once you’ve seen through it, you can never close your eyes to the truth again. But I don’t plan on closing my eyes. I have four devils set in my sights. And this dead girl no longer has anything to lose. This is an enemies to lovers contemporary series where the girl will end up with multiple love interests and all of the characters are in their late twenties. Trigger warning: This series features gangs, violence, dark romance, and jealous/possessive themes. Read more

This series is so funny and the story is so good. I'm enjoying the storyline of Rogue and the 4 guys. Still alot of their background I'm still trying to piece together.

Here’s all my honest thoughts and feelings about the book it self. First and foremost, Caroline and Susanne know how to write a damn good story. They really take you into a world that makes you want to live it. What I personally thought was original and unique was the storyline. I like the these authors will write a genre but it always so different then what’s out there. They definitely know how to put their own spin on things. I did like that they wrote a novella to give you a back story of what happen to Rogue and her boys 10 years ago. It was nice reading a series that didn’t keep doing flashbacks. I also liked that their age was older then a typical “high school” theme. So Rogue was a fiery, sassy, takes no crap kind of FMC. I really enjoyed her and loved that she had a furry sidekick. The humor was perfect in the book. I like the character development when it came to JJ, Chase and Maverick. I felt that you saw a lot of change in them. But Maverick and JJ are my favorite 😍 Now here’s what I just didn’t like about the book, particularly one main character. I don’t know why but Fox just got in my nervous. He was so pigheaded and wouldn’t listen and in my opinion way to possessive (and I LOVE THE POSSESSIVE MALE). His character was really annoying for me and hope he gets better. Beside my dislike for Fox, I throughly enjoyed reading this book. I loved the cliffhanger and can’t wait to see what’s next. ... show more

2/5 🌶️🌶️ 5/5 for storyline and the characters personalities are the best I’ve seen in a long time. But. I almost rated 4 stars on the simple fact that over 600 pages of her repeating that she’s not forgiving the MMC’s is far to dragged out, I’m starting to develop some bitternes toward her. Blaming them for every bad thing that’s gone on in her life is a bit much. Although the storyline kept me interested I think we can move on with the story about now. I’m hoping the 2nd book isn’t filled with another 600 pages of her holding distain for the MMCs or I may grow to hate her entirely. But like I said I’m sticking to my 5 star rating for now because im in deep and cant put the book down and when im not reading it im thinking about it. ... show more

  • Way too long.
Format: Kindle
The storyline is good, but it honestly could’ve been like 200 pages and been exactly the same if not better. Most of the chapters feel like filler because nothing really happens at all. It’s just the guys acting controlling in the most obnoxious way like they’re not the ones that caused everything and the girl constantly talking about how much of a grudge she’s holding. We get it - you’re mad. Felt like the authors spent more time trying to come up with “funny” one liners instead of developing the plot properly and moving the story along. It’s just interesting enough to keep my attention so far, but tbh it’s taken me years just to finish the first book here because I kept DNFing it due to how much it drags on. ... show more

I like this bppk. Very smutty. Has all the things you could want. A girl with multiple bad boys, sex, teasing, and fast cars. Only reason it didnt get a 5 was at times it did drag out scenes that didnt need to be. I would recommend

  • Wow! Just Wow!
Format: Kindle
HOLY CLIFFHANGER THAT WAS... WOW. "How about I back off when your heart stops beating like that around me?" These boys, I just can't. This whole book had me on the edge of my seat. I was 656 pages of amazing angst and suspense. JJ, sweet JJ. I loved him in Devil's Pass and he just got better with age. I loved seeing him grow into a confident man and be who he always was. His love for Rouge is just the tip of the iceberg and I can't wait to see how it continues in this series. Every time this man opens his mouth, it was either going to make you wet yourself with laughter, or break your heart with the depth of his feelings. Chase... There's a part of me that feels like he's just misunderstood, or that he thinks he's doing the right thing, and then there's another that says to cut him off before he does any more harm. Every time he and Rogue were together it was like fire and ice as they battled between who they were and who they are. Fox... My god that man burned me from the inside. He is possessive and rude and an a*shole. And I love him. He is doing everything in his power not to lose the woman he lost 10 years ago. He is going about it in ALL the wrong ways and I am here for it! Maverick... Uhm.... Is it wrong that I want him? He's got some SERIOUS issues and he's insane, but he's hot as H*LL! Rogue, my girl. I want to be besties with her and go on all kinds of adventures with her and Mutt. I loved her bad*ss attitude and that all this stuff had happened in her life and she would not take it lying down. She is the queen and she bows to no man. Not even the four she loved with all her heart 10 years ago. She sets off to trick them and all the old feelings rush back in. Is it enough to keep her focused or will the past repeat itself and her heart break even more? I can not wait for book two and I have a lot of questions I hope get answered quickly, but the biggest question running through my mind is "WHAT IS IN THAT CRYPT?!" ... show more
