  • All the Hallmark cheese!
Summary: Rich trust fund girl from Georgia buys a dilapidated Christmas tree farm in Dream Harbor, Maine with the hopes of becoming an off-the-grid homesteader who makes pickles and can privately stew with anger over her twin sister getting married and moving to Europe. Yes… you read that correctly. (Spoilers ahead) The good: - Looking for that cheesy Hallmark holiday movie feel in a book with all the cliche tropes and some added (vanilla) spice? Look no further! - The MMC (Bennett) initially seems like a normal nice guy but refreshingly turns out to be the one who gets overly attached to girls (instead of the other way around) - This is a very short book and easy to digest so it makes for a nice palate cleanser between other books - Although it is the 3rd book in a series, it can easily be read as a stand alone (I had not read the first 2 books and had no issues reading this!) - I liked that the FMC decided to take time for herself to fix her own issues at the end of the book before diving into a relationship with the MMC and that they didn’t get engaged or married or pregnant or have any of the other overused annoying endings The not so good: - The FMC (Kira) just comes across as a spoiled brat who can’t find it in herself to just genuinely be happy for her sister and she takes out her envy-turned-b!tchy attitude on everyone else throughout 99% of the book… even on the MMC - The FMC nicknames the MMC “Ben” which is nice and normal for a guy named Bennett… but then he proceeds to call her Peaches… no less than a million times and it really gives the ick - I think you are meant to feel bad for the FMC living in an old house with no heat and no friends but honestly… I didn’t. She deserved it! She was reckless with her decision making and trust fund & treated her family/friends like dirt Overall: If you can read this book and enjoy it for what it is… a hallmark movie turned book… it’s a cute holiday read! Just don’t ask too many questions (like why was finding treasure buried on the farm such a big plot line throughout the book just for them to find some old jewelry and immediately decide to sell it?!) and don’t look for any sort of realistic relationship goals. Happy holiday reading! 🎄 ... show more

  • Cute And Cozy!
I'm seriously obsessed with this series! These books are definitely for the girlies who love Hallmark movies and small town romances. Kiara is a newly relocated to dream harbor and more than anything she wants to be left alone to soak in her misery. Kiara feels she is a failure and more than anything she wants to prove she worthy of her family's love. Ben aka Bennett is in town on vacation and while he seems to be running from his boring life and a woman who uses him for her convenience. He definitely didn't have love on his list of things to do in dream harbor but him running into Kiara in a field by chance might have just been fate! If you are looking for grumpy x sunshine this book is definitely for you between these two and their drama I couldn't put this down. Can't wait to read the next book! ... show more

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I enjoyed The Christmas Tree Farm much more than The Pumpkin Spice Café. While I may have been a little harsh on my review of the latter, this book redeemed itself with smoother writing, a more entertaining flow, and characters I actually enjoyed spending time with. Kira was such a relatable protagonist for me. Her struggles on the ice rink hit close to home because, like her, I can’t skate to save my life either! Those little moments added a personal connection that I really appreciated. Another highlight for me was the humor, especially the digs and witty remarks sprinkled throughout the story. They kept things light and fun without going over the top. The holiday vibes and charm of the Christmas tree farm setting were also a nice touch, making it a cozy seasonal read. While this wasn’t a standout holiday romance for me, it’s definitely worth picking up if you’re in the mood for something festive with likable characters and a bit of humor. ... show more

  • Loved this book!
This book was so cute! Agggh!! Omg I loved it from beginning to end. The slow burn romance was everything. The tension. The angst. It was perfect! Three books in and I'm obsessed with these series! Definitely na five star read for sure

  • Love This Series
I love the folks of Dream Harbor and this third installment doesn’t disappoint. I wasn’t sure what to think of Kira based on the epilogue of the last book but was pleasantly surprised at her depth and self awareness. Bennett was adorable and I loved Kira’s description of him being a gentleman on the streets and a beast in the sheets! He had some things to work through as well in this book. There was a third act split, but it was handled well and didn’t last very long. The book was pretty low angst and I would give it a 4/5 on the spicy scale. 4.5 ⭐️ ... show more

  • this one was ok. I sorta stoped paying attention after 15 chapters .
This one was ok . Nothing to gag over and the story just seemed generic and repetitive . But other than that nothing to gag over and the hype is not there .
