I have read many, many Ralph Cotton books. This is one of his best if not the best one I have read. It has, of course, the Ranger, Sam Burrack, Maria and Fast Larry Shaw in it along with the Blue Star Tattoo Gang. There are twist and turns, you think the end is about in sight and it takes off in a new direction. A very good and some what surprise ending. If you enjoy westerns at all this is a must read.     • A different Ranger
Could not get used to the amount of talking from the ranger. Normally the bad guys do most of the talking to develop the readers dislike of them. I don't think its necessary to develop a nice guy personality in the good guys. That should be a given.

A really great story of another saga of the " Ranger" in his pursuit of justice and law. Throughout the story your level of suspense and excitement is really felt right through the end. What an ending, simply great! Enjoy your ride.

Another great book on Ranger Sam Burrack. I really love these westerns , they have a lot of action without being ugly. Can't wait to read the next Sam Burrack book. Thank you Mr. cotton for a great read.
