At first I thought the system was pretty smooth, but after using it for a few weeks, the lag has gotten really noticeable. Apps take longer to open, the screen hesitates when I tap something, and sometimes it takes several seconds just to change a song. It feels like the radio can’t handle being used for very long.

Lot of value for the money.

Recently purchased an older second vehicle and immediately missed the convenience of the infotainment in my truck; specifically CarPlay, NAV, and back-up camera. You can't beat this price. Only complaint is the instructions are okay but not entirely comprehensive. For example, it does display artist, title, progress bar, and album art just like my truck. But if you leave that screen, I can't for the life of me figure out how to return to that screen while a song is playing without starting a new song. Instructions say nothing about this navigation. I'm sure it does; just haven't figured it out yet. Install Tips: The brown/black wire labeled KEY has absolutely nothing to do with the keyed ignition. This wire is to mute the audio when a phone call comes in "If" you have steering wheel phone controls. CarPlay does this automatically so just leave it capped off and disconnected. The pink wire labeled BRAKE is intended to force you to stop and apply the park brake to use your NAV. You can leave this capped off and disconnected. The red wire labeled ACC (accessory power) has absolutely nothing to do with accessory power. This is your main keyed ignition (switched) power source. The orange wire labeled ILL has absolutely nothing to do with headlight detection. This wire connects to your OEM orange instrument panel dimmer so that the unit's illumination dims with your instrument panel. Everything else is pretty much self explanatory. The rear camera works great but is directional. When I first mounted it, the image was up-side-down. I had to re-mount it to fix this. If you can flip the image through the unit's controls, I couldn't figure out how to do it and the instructions say nothing about this issue. Connect both of the camera red wires together and connect those to the positive of either of your reverse lamps. The microphone is quite sensitive. I have mine clipped behind the rear view mirror and normal phone conversation from the driver seat is possible without issue. All-in-all a great value for the price. Highly recommend.

Cheap but works great , buying another one

Cheap but everything works upgraded my teens radio from my old aftermarket Sony radio, gps works, YouTube music and phone calls work just fine I like it for 50$ can’t beat it, went into an 01chevy Silverado, install was easy didn’t install the camera so can’t speak on that but otherwise works phenomenal, sound quality is good, connected just fine to my phone; messages, phone contacts we have a iPhone 17, screen quality was great touch screen works well, I will buy for my other truck I recommend buying another one

Unremovable?

To install and remove units there are usually two slots where keys cans be inserted to separate the unit from the mounting cage which gets fixed to the dash.As shown in the first figure the slot is blocked by a plastic cross which the key cannot pass and thus the unit cannot be separated from the front, like when it has been installed. The second picture shows the keys used to separate the cage (about halfway) from behind, like from inside the dash if it was mounted! Bottom line, there’s no way to easily remove the unit if needed!! Why are the key slots blocked? Had to return.

Almost a hit

Would have been 5 stars, but the RCA outputs are inoperative, and can't be turned on in the settings. Purchased item to install in a small convertible, which means I didn't need something flashy or expensive. The goal was to drive 4 speakers plus a powered subwoofer. This unit appeared to fit the bill, as it has 4 channel speaker outputs, and RCA outputs. The manual had minimal installation instructions with the English section very poorly translated. The wiring harness had each color wire identified with a 3-5 digit abbreviation, but no explanation of what each required to ensure correct operation. I had to do multiple web searches to verify. Once installed, the unit worked well to power the door speakers. The screen was at least as responsive as the one in my 2024 Honda. It connected easily to my Android phone, and the android auto worked well for both music playback and navigation. The screen was surprisingly bright, readable, and able to be used as intended, even in the single DIN format. When off, the matt black screen blends in unobtrusively. The selector/ volume knob has a good, relatively quality feel to it. The biggest fault was that the RCA outputs were not enabled, and there was no way to turn them on in the settings. I tested with multiple cables and multiple speakers, plus a multimeter, and the RCA outputs had zero signal. There is no tech support available for this vendor, so there was no way to contact for help. If you don't need RCA outputs, then this unit will be a good value. However, if you do need them, look elsewhere. Sadly, the time spent figuring out how to install the unit and subsequent troubleshooting pushed me past the return window, so I can't even return it to see if it is just a faulty unit.

Mostly good. Just not good at reproducing high frequencies and not the strongest built-in amp.

This is my 2nd android based head unit. You will find most of them perform about the same. The Android operating system is great, but the hardware that's running it isn't great, especially high frequency sound quality. Some units will have a more reliable Bluetooth connection. Some units will have slightly better duplication of higher frequencies. Some units will have slightly more powerful built-in amp (though none are sufficient for a good sound system.) This is true of a $50 or a $180 Android based unit. If your sound system isn't anything special, these units will suffice. They're not high performance units. Nothing Android based seems to perform as well as a head unit like Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, or even JVC, but these Android units will have better function, as in equalizer, steering wheel controls, apps, etc. On this unit, everything works as it should. My only complaints are the weak built-in amplifier (probably about 12W RMS per channel), and poor treble (all of them have poor treble, this is a little worse than others). As a result, the first 3 frequencies on the equalizer have no effect when you change the sliders. It has a 10 band equalizer, which is sufficient. There's no noise, such as hissing, crackling or humming. Bluetooth connects quickly and reliably when you power on. I only use Bluetooth audio. I don't use Android Auto since this unit stays hidden in my glove box. It starts playing Spotify automatically if you left Spotify open on your phone. It hasn't lost connection or failed to connect in the 20+ times I've started the car. It has a steering wheel control app (as they all do), that allows you to connect to your steering wheel controls and actually map the buttons. I used an aftermarket wired controller. The steering wheel controls are great. When you open this, you will need to peel all the clear plastic wrap off the unit. When they manufactured it, they left the protective plastic on the sheet steel. It blocks ventilation holes. Unfortunately, they also placed the wiring diagram label on top of the plastic. So you will lose the label. There are no other installation instructions that come with it. So, keep that label.
