Solid unit for the price. Install is straightforward however the cage is kind of loose. Carplay works well, but the power output is low. With the volume cranked all the way up its as loud as my old kenwood was at about 60% volume. The screen is mid at best. Not super bright and lacks contrast so it can be hard to see in direct sunlight. For $60 its what you expect though and it does the job of giving me carplay in my old hooptie.

Very responsive for an aftermarket car play head unit. Installation is pretty simple of my car, just matched the colored wires to the wiring harness except for the illumination wire. If you want to save $100 or more on a double din head unit with car play that lags every time, this one is a pretty good alternative. The screw holes didn't line up with any of my radio brackets so it was kind of just being held by one of the little pins for my Toyota but it wasn't going anywhere. I did end up removing it since it didn't fit after trying to put my trim pieces that go around the unit.

Giving this 5 stars for being such an incredible value, even though the audio is a bit weak. So far, all the Android Auto features work perfectly. I don't care for a giant display, and really didn't want to get into a complicated install. This was an easy install in my 97 Chevy truck and looks great! I'll eventually add an amp and a sub to improve the audio. It does have two channel + sub pre-amp outputs for that. It also includes the backup camera, but I have not installed that yet.

"Update" contacted the company and they asked me to email them outside of Amazon, wonder why. o yeah so they could do nothing! Unit just stopped working one day, and i looked to see if i could return it but the time has already passed. So i got 40days out of it. i also did not like the fact that it would connect and disconnect on its own and it would not default to FM stations if not Bluetooth found. it would go to AM. Also poor sounds quality if you turned loudness on and it was to low with it off. just not worth it.

Amazing Value! Good quality sound and display. Integrated well into the single DIN slot of a 1983 Porsche 944. Extremely happy with the purchase. Hope it lasts long. Update on how to change the startup logo from the default red sports car to any image you would like. Using a FAT formatted USB flash drive. Create a top-level folder named "logo". In this folder place a 1280 x 480 JPG image of your desired startup logo. This JPG image must have the name "stalogo". Start the radio and navigate to the Setup page, select Factory Set, enter passcode "112233" to access the logo setup page. Insert the prepared USB flash drive with your desired logo image, select "External Card", your new logo should show, select it and push save. System will reboot and you new logo image will show each time you start the radio. (Note, the screen does clip the source image a little and there is a mild vertical elongation of the image, so you may have to adjust the original image file to compensate. In my case I used a 90% vertical scaling factor to make the resulting logo image on the radio look correct.) Hope this helps.

Update: I worked with the vendor and they happily offered to exchange the product for me. I firmly believe that this is a good product if you don't need it to sit flush in the opening, so I'll give a star back for their excellent customer service. I bought this unit specifically because the vendor said that it is designed to fit in a single-DIN opening. This is incorrect—the unit is about a quarter of an inch taller than a 1-DIN opening. It would probably fit in most 1-DIN slots if it was just 1/8th inch shorter, but as it stand now, it doesn’t fit in my car where the stereo is recessed in an opening. If the vendor had supplied accurate measurements I wouldn’t have to return this item. If you have a dashboard where the unit is able to sit without being recessed, you’re probably okay, but in my situation it’s a no-go. Buyer beware, the bezel is about 2.5” tall, centered around the 1-DIN opening. It’s a shame as I was looking forward to using this unit because of the volume knob! Not many of these 1-DIN sized Apple CarPlay units have that feature. This could’ve been a big winner if it had just been within spec. Picture is of a standard 1-DIN unit on the left, and this item on the right.
