🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

These reviews show a mixed reaction towards the Singer embroidery machine. The product's ease of use, larger hoop option, and stability have earned appreciation. However, some users find it complicated, having issues with automated threading, and limitations with on-screen display. There were also concerns about the software and USB adapter not being included, making them additional purchases.

Pros

  • 👍 User-friendly - many users were able to use it immediately after unboxing.
  • 👌 Larger hoop option - the ability to use larger hoop sizes for designs was appreciated.
  • 🌟 Compatibility with Singer files - it utilizes existing Singer embroidery files.
  • 👏 Stability - users reported the machine was stable yet not too heavy.

Cons

  • 👎 Limited on-screen display - users reported difficulties in tracking steps on the machine's display.
  • 💽 USB Adapter - The machine can't connect a computer directly and requires an adapter for USB stick
  • 🧵 Threading issue - users found the automatic threading feature difficult to understand and use.
  • 💻 Additional software purchase - the machine apparently needs a separate design software for full utility.

Should I Buy It?

If you're a beginner looking for an easy-to-use machine, have existing Singer files, and don't mind purchasing an extra software and a USB adapter, this might be a good fit for you. However, for advanced users seeking for sophisticated features (like on-screen editing) or those wanting more thorough and user-friendly auto-threading, this model may not meet your needs.

  • A very good purchase.

  • Not a good machine.
Style: SE300
I really wanted to love this machine. It has a 6x10 embroidery area and that was what I was looking for. It’s beautiful right out of the box. Sleek. Pretty. I finally figured out how to embroider a design and in the middle of it, the motor overload message popped up. I finally got the design finished. It was a simple snowflake built in design. Then I tried a name. Motor overload message twice. Needles break easily and they bend. Went through a whole package quickly. Thread bunched under bobbin. Not a good machine. Screen is in black and white and does not tell you where it is going to begin. Unless you print out the designs in color, you will not know which color to begin with or which color to change it to when it’s time for a thread change. It was cheap for the size embroidery area but if it doesn’t work well, it’s not a good deal. I used to use Singer all the time. Then went to Brother then Janome. I love the Brother and Janome. Both are very user friendly. Singer has gone way downhill on their quality. It’s a shame because they could have made this into a great embroidery machine. It looks great. Sorry to say that I had to return it. ... show more

I bought this machine in August and I loved it the way it looked and all the stitches that was on it. Well I didn't get to use it because I hurt my arm and I have to have surgery well I finally get to use my machine it sew great but when I went to do my embroidery oh no I thought I made a wrong choice but I started looking at my book for how to fix this so I found the tension for the embroidery and I lowered it and boom that was it I got my embroidery to go all the way through without breaking the thread I have mine set on1.0 so if you are having trouble in that area then try this ... show more

I have only embroidered with it once and loved it! I have mostly been sewing with this machine so far! So much easier to use than my old machine!! This is the 1st time I've ever had a machine that will thread the needle and will never own another that doesn't!! The only problem I have had is with the memory stick, I can't get this to print the pages from my computer as it says!! I will have to contact someone for help with that!! ... show more

  • Liking it more every day
Style: SE300
I missed my Singer XL-400 so much I decided to purchase this one to be able to use the files I had for Singer. I absolutely love the larger hoop option but that's about it. With my XL-400 you can see step by step on the display & you are able to edit right on the screen. Makes it so easy to work your embroidery. Pros on the machine: I already have hundreds of files to use with it Larger hoop Easy to use easy to change the hoops size provided can enlarge pattern while hoop is on the machine (but only up to 25%) it's a Singer Cons: The display doesn't really show you the steps about to be embroidered so you proceed a bit blind. Unable to edit the steps on the machine Can't connect computer directly to the machine like with my XL-400; you need special adaptor to be able to use a USB stick I was able to unbox it and use it immediately so that is a HUGE plus, I just miss the XL-400 DISPLAY ... show more

  • Great machine for the money

So far I had my machine for a month and it’s been great! Easy setup, design come out very nicely and not to heavy to move around but very stable in my opinion. For the money I think it is a great value

  • If you value your sanity, get a different machine.
Style: SE300
This machine is making me insane. It has a MAJOR thread breakage problem—the thread breaks and clogs the thread path, causing future thread to break, and causing the bobbin thread to show on the top side of the embroidery designs. I have had this problem since day one. I have had it into the shop to get the thread path cleaned out multiple times. The last time was today. The thread path is already clogged again, mere hours after the last repair. Don’t buy this machine, the design is flawed. I love my other Singers, but this one is not up to par. ... show more

  • So much build up for such a poorly built machine
Style: SE300
I never, and I know a lot of people say this, but I never write reviews. I wish I could rate this 0 stars. I was over the top excited when I ordered this machine with all its features for such a reasonable price, however when I would try to embroider on it it would malfunction every time. I did every troubleshoot suggested, watched many videos, and talked with friends with loads of experience. The further I looked into reviews the more I found people felt the same way. It took well over a month and multiple phone calls to get my refund. I can not tell you enough to take your money elsewhere and invest in a different machine. ... show more
