It is a powerful machine. I’ve made a quilt, a a cushion, altered and repaired several articles of clothing. Hasn’t given any trouble, as of yet. If I could change two things it would be a stronger light, and for the feed dogs to be able to drop down. I’m pleased with my purchase!

I just unboxed the sewing machine tonight. I haven’t used it yet and I haven’t sewn since junior high home economics class. It seems like a substantial machine. I was very excited to purchase this sewing machine. I was happy for all the extra accessories that came with it as well. This machine is indeed a heavy duty machine. It works well and sews through tough fabrics. However, I was very disappointed with the needle threader. Mine broke after one month. Also, the needle kept hitting on the metal plate. I had to sand down the rough edges. I actually bought another metal place to replace it in the future. I love my sewing machine but these two things were a big disappointment. ... show more

I was disappointed there was not a manual. Then I realized that there is a sewing assistant app. The app has helped a lot, especially with the top loading bobbin. Be careful that the thread is in the right position and around the small slit in the bobbin case.

I bought this to replace a Singer, I had had since the 1980's. I had hoped it would be as heavy duty as that one was, but there is more plastic on it. I have found that the needle position dial does not move the needle as it should???? I am trying it out for a couple days to see if I am going to even keep it. It does not come with a manual , which I find disgusting. Not every one has the means to get in online. and some folks may not even know how to sew that well, and a book would be helpful. Not sure how happy I am at this time! ... show more
