Actually, I am impressed with this unit, at least now that it has been assembled. The assembly would have been a snap had it not been for the utterly misleading instructions. Let me explain. Each of the five shelves has a lip around the edge that extends vertically away from the shelf. The instructions have a note ON EACH PAGE that says "edge of shelf faces down." Since that would obviosly refer to the lip around the shelf, I spent twenty minutes trying to figure out how it could be assembled that way until I decided it was impossible. I went back to the item description on Amazon that showed someone putting a unit together and, sure enough, the edge faced upward. After that, it was a piece of cake. Unfortunatey, that video is also quite misleading in its own right. It touts the easy adjustability of the shelving by showing the assembler quickly moving a shelf and its associated brackets up in a few seconds. Nonsense. The instructions themselves tell the user to pound each shelf into place over the associated clips with a rubber mallet. Once that is done, it will require the use of a mallet to knock the shelf upward off the clips so those clips can be moved up or down. So much for quick adjustability. While the product itself works nicely and seems solid, the sales team earns it a big demotion. Another Chinese effort. It is amazing that a country capable of such industrial advance seems incapable of creating simple, comprehensible, and accurate instructions. ... show more

I would have given a 5 rating but one of the screw connectors was missing . I was replacing a shorter shelf system and a screw connector from my old system fit the new one. Made it work. Just check all pieces before beginning assembly.

Smaller than what I expected as far as width. However, it’s very perfect for me in size. It holds a very good amount depending on how you organize it. I cannot complain. I love that it works well for me, annnnddddd it was VERY easy to assemble.

    • CAUTION PUTTING TOGETHER.

Use cation putting this tigether!! The skin of my upper arm got STUCK in the little clips that attach to the posts and was literally STUCK. I am literally scarred. I was putting one of the selves on and reached over, my upper arm skin got grabbed by the little connectors and the shelf. It was excruciatingly painful, literally RIPPED my skin out and left a chunk of skin/flesh missing from my arm. This was mobths ago and I still have a huge scar. So.. beware. The shelves are flimsy and pop out from the connectors, then will reconnect while putting the rest of the shelf together. Not blaming the company it was a freak accident but also if it was less flimsy, that wouldn't have happened. ... show more

I bought this shelf because this was the size I needed. What I don't like may not be an issue for you. I have several different wire shelves in my house. In all of them, the flat size is on the top, and the curved part goes to the bottom. This is the first wire shelf where that is reversed. It works if you want that little edge to securely keep items from slipping off. I prefer my shelves the other way or the way I have seen them for decades. The wire shelf itself is made of a light mettle; they suggest you use a rubber mallet to secure the shelf in place, which is normal. With this shelf without that much pressure, the shelf will bend. I kept it because I need this size to keep shoes off the floor because the puppy keeps taking them. It serves my purpose, your mileage may vary. ... show more
