I got this for my kids (14 and 15 years old) and me to play for family game nights. We like the original card game, so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did because it's been a big hit. Very clever concept that expands on the card game, with a board that can flip (without disrupting play) and become more dangerous. Physical quality is good. The board itself is beautiful and very well made. The cards have unique drawings on each one and though they're a bit thin, they seem to be holding up just fine. And the playing pieces are punched cardboard, which isn't great, but they're also holding up well. It takes a few rounds to really understand the game. It seems a little overwhelming at first, but it didn't take us long to get it all straight. It also looks like it's going to be a very quick game, and sometimes it is, but sometimes it takes longer than you would expect. We usually end up playing for an hour or two and getting in enough games that everyone has a chance to win one. We haven't yet stopped because we're bored. If you're even a casual fan of the card game, I think you'll enjoy this. ... show more

We love to get games for Christmas, and we have pretty much all of the exploding kittens card games so I figured why not give this board game a shot? As expected, these guys pulled out all of the stops when it comes to creativity! They built an entire flip book / spot moving mechanism that makes the game play a lot of fun. The game itself is really easy to play, and our family of 5 can all play together which seems rare these days (so many games are 4 players). We brought it to our New Years party and everyone had a lot of fun with it. ... show more

My 10 year old loves playing this game. It’s very entertaining for the entire family. The fold is a little stiff at first, but it wears down once you keep playing. It wasn’t super long, very funny and would make a great gift for kiddos.

SMASH HIT! This game is in my local kids and pet friendly bar-cade. Pinball and video games and beverages and bar snacks. Anyway, I got it a couple days ago. The board game is in constant use. People invite total strangers at the tables next to them to play at their tables. So it is a very busy 54 capacity bar-cade in Seattle. A third place besides work and home to easily meet new people. So this thing is a 10 outta 10 at getting people together for stress free, fun game. Jump right in and play. Also? The artwork on the front has hologram flames on the bottom you can see it a mile away on a clear day. But mostly it never touches the shelf from opening to closing. Buy with confidence! ... show more

This is tons of fun for a family board game night. It plays very similar to the card game but has some extra features that the kids get a kick out of. Highly recommend, and makes a great gift.

    • Fun and innovative board game
Good for kids seven years and older. The board game is better for younger audiences than the original card game. I like the concept of a changing board game, depending of the rules, you flip the board (like a page in a book) and you get a different map. It's a fun addition to family game nights.
