I really like these shelves. They're well-made and easy to put together. Are they strong enough for heavy items? Probably not, but that's not why I bought them. I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend it if you're looking for a narrower shelf to fit a small space.

These shelves were extremely easy to set up and customize shelf height. The feet can be lightly adjusted for uneven flooring. They were the perfect solution to overburdened pantry shelves and let me fully utilize the lower section with the heaviest items. For its size I found this shelf to be very sturdy. The legs and shelf wiring are definitely not as bulky as the six foot wire shelving I use elsewhere, but that would be ridiculous for a shelf this tiny. While it's possible they would be fine with 200 pounds of perfectly distributed weight (100 per shelf), I probably wouldn't put more than 50-70 pounds per shelf of mismatched weight such as cans. With the top shelf fully loaded two standard cans high it is still less than 35 pounds so I am not worried. There were no sharp edges or unpainted areas, and I would buy this brand again if I needed more small kitchen shelves. These are good lightweight shelves, and fortunately they come in white. However, they are small and limited in what they can hold. Although technically it is 16 inches wide, between the poles you will only have barely over 14 inches. Please see my photo with the Coleman cooler. It does not fit between the poles. When I put the poles into each other, I noticed some of the white paint scraping off as the pole went in. The scraped paint is not visible once you have it together. You don't want to put the clips that hold the shelves where the poles come together. On the top, one of the toppers extends through, but the other one is sunk down in, so it doesn't line up completely right. They only give you one extra pair of the plastic bits that hold the shelves in place. Despite what the listing says, I would not be comfortable putting more than 10 lbs of weight on each shelf. If I push on them with my hand, and I'm female, they have a lot of give in them. They don't sag, but you don't want to put something heavy on these shelves. In the picture I'm including, you can see that the Coleman cooler is too wide to sit on a shelf the long way because the poles would be in the way. And turning it the other way, it's going to hang over the shelves. If you're buying this shelving unit to put bath towels or sheets on, I think they are fine. I bought two of them. I also bought another Singaye product that is a little wider and has wheels. The cooler fits on that. The company name is nowhere on the product, box, or assembly insert. I'd say they all buy them from the same Chinese warehouse and then put these crazy company names on them. I have some other white shelves and carts just like this that were sold with other whacky company names. Go for the best price because the quality is all the same. I do have some large books, magazines, and old catalogues stacked on a similar unit, and it did not break or sag, but I plan to transfer them to a sturdier unit. The Finnhomy wire shelving units are the most durable I've found, but they did not have the size nor white color that I wanted. This shelving unit was easy and fun to put together. We are use to this system as we have other shelving units similar. Pieces were all there and went together well. There’s a narrow space in the bathroom that this 16” wide is perfect for, and the extra shelves come in handy.

    • Sturdy, easy to assemble, and a good value

I needed to add shelves to a 10.125" wide section of a large, wood storage rack I have in my studio for canvases, but I didn't want to alter the wood rack permanently. I was having trouble finding anything narrower than 12" and then I found this product. The 10" wide rack fits the width of the space perfectly and I can slide it out easily in the future if I need the taller space again without the shelves. It would have been a bit too tall for my space with all four sections, so I eliminated the upper poles and one shelf, for a total finished height of about 42". However, the space I have is quite deep (about 38"), so I just ordered a second one in the same 10x16x55 size that will result in the shelves filling almost the entire depth of the space. It will be perfect then for storing smaller canvases and art panels. I found this extremely easy and quick to assemble, without any assistance. I should add that I am in a wheelchair, so if I can do it from a seated position, with arthritis, bad shoulders and lousy balance, then anyone should be able to do it! I had read quite a few reviews before purchasing it, including some complaints about the shelves not going together or holding properly. If you follow the instructions, it should assemble without any of those problems. There were also some complaints about having to assemble it with the flat side of the wire shelves down, resulting in shelves that are trays, rather than flat shelves. I did not encounter this problem, either. I was able to assemble it with the flat shelves up, so I will have nice, even, long, flat shelves (10"x32") once I set the second rack flush against the first one. This metal rack is strong and sturdy and should hold a substantial amount of weight, although I don't know that I would feel comfortable testing it with 120 lbs per shelf, as the product listing indicates, simply because the clips that hold the shelves in place are plastic, not steel like the rest of the rack. Overall, though, I think it's a great value for the price and I would purchase it again. In fact, as noted above, I already did! ... show more
