I just threaded a larger eye needle with this along with the color I was planning on using. Such an awesome effect is had with the addition of these glowing threads - seriously cool stuff! I had some issues with this thread snapping in my machine, but as I'm relatively new to machine embroidery I'm not sure if it was user error on my part. I can say it looks beautiful and does glow very well! I embroidered some skeletons and they look nice in daylight and darkness.

I am trying to think up what to use this glow in the dark thread for. I would like to make something for my granddaughter for Christmas. Perhaps a pillow case? I was curious on how it would work and so I set it in front of a huge window in my sewing room. My sewing machine is in front of this window so I have a wonderful view when sewing. Before it had to be cut down, a black walnut tree was in front of the window and I felt like I was sewing in a tree house. It was fun to come into my sewing room once it got dark to see this thread glowing quietly on my sewing table. I think this will be fun to use. This Simthread thread does not have any labels on it, so I will have to try to label it myself so that I will use the proper needle. It seems to be thinner than some thread that takes smaller needles, but I suspect that they recommend the 14/90 needle so that the thread isn't getting abraded as the needle moves up and down. I am on the 10 days before I have to ship Christmas presents to my kids countdown, so I will be trying to use this soon as possible and will edit this review if needed. I appreciate the opportunity to try out this thread. Thank you.

If you’re looking for glow-in-the-dark thread, this is an ok product. The glow is good, but thread snaps way too easily. This might be suitable for hand sewing, but I doubt it would hold up to machine work. Even short lengths are easy to snap. I expect to wind this with tatting thread to make snowflakes and to be very careful not to pull too hard.

See my photos. NO JOKE GLOW! Wow! This is after less than 30 seconds under an LED light and it lasts for quiet a bit. I am impressed and can't wait to use it in a costume for a dress for the winter formal dance themed "City Lights".

Fun to see the embroidered work glows in the dark. The quality of thread is pretty good, except it does break during embroidering sometimes with high speed. Great value for the amount of the thread especially it is a spool of glowing thread.

This is fun thread to work with. The grandkids get a kick out of it. The more dense the embroidery the easier it is to see the glow of the threads. I have used this to embroider tops and even hats. I did have to change needle size when working with this thread.
