If you like to do machine embroidery that has text, this product is a must. Even small text looks crisp and readable. I have also used this 60wt to embroider designs with tiny details that look a little sloppy with 40wt thread. They look amazing with this 60wt thread. You do need to use 60wt in the bobbin as well to get the best result. My only disappointment is that the spools are not marked "60wt" and neither is the box. Care has to be used to keep them separate from the more common 40wt spools. The sheen and strength of this 60wt thread seems even better than the Smithread brand 40wt thread I have used. ... show more

Admittedly, I am new to embroidery. I purchased a Bother PE900 to do my company logos consideri8ng I'm getting charge about $60 per shirt, hoodie, etc. I did research and purchased this thread based on Amazon and external reviews of the product. I digitized and did a couple of practice logos, things are going good then all heck broke loose. The white thread started breaking after about one letter (my logo has 13 letters in white) and caused my machine to eat a sweat shirt. I immediately thought it was me. Bad tension, digitizing, hooping, etc.. After hours of research, stitching, adjusting, it was always the white thread. I decided to buy another spool of white, and presto, all my issues disappeared. I eve tried a couple of different colors in place of the white, no issues. Tried the old spool, breaking, new spool, perfect. I'm rambling...but I have to say, because of the issues, I learned a lot. Short of this is, if you are having issues, don't assume the thread is faultless. Will I continue to use Simthread, yes, now that I know this. But I may try some of the other brands as well. ... show more
