  • Buy American Made
Read this to the end, American companies take care of their own! I was anxious to get this product, I wanted my sidewalks and driveway to look as good as my neighbors. I had purchased Simpson's 3200 psi gas driven pressure washer shortly after we purchased this home, which was just 10 years old, the first time I had ever had or used a pressure washer. My good neighbors told me about the surface cleaners they used, so I went to my favorite store online, Amazon (where I had purchased the American made pressure washer) and found a surface cleaner made by Simpson and hands down I purchased it. That damn thing worked awesome, I never thought that I could clean the sidewalks as clean as those around me were. The next day I went out, astonished had how clean the sidewalks were once they'd dried, just as clean as those were around me. Happy to get back at it and finish what I had left. I got it all hooked up, started the washer up, and the wands (whatever you call those things) wouldn't spin. PO'ed, I couldn't believe it, I was mad. My wife, who just loves to pour salt in the wound, asked if I had checked the reviews before I purchased it, saying she doesn't buy anything w/o looking at the reviews first (well good for you hon) Saying nothing I pulled up the reviews, on it and seen nothing but a single star on all of them and the same problem with them all. I thought about sending it back, but I could not believe an American product with these same issues would not fix them. So I called Simpson and explained to them what happened on my second day of using it. She had asked if I had tried to do, as the manual recommended to clean the small holes on each end, to clean them. I told her I had not, that I didn't think they would clog up within a few hours of use. She took down when and where I purchased it and so on, put me on hold for a couple and came back on and told me that they were sending me a new surface cleaner and I would get it in a few days and it did. In the mean time, I found a really tiny pin to put in the holes on each end to see if it was clogged up. I took it out, hooked it to the washer and put the water pressure to it and after a few seconds the baby started spinning to beat hell. I was able to finish the sidewalk with it working just great. They did not require me to send the first one back, so now I have 2. If I'd sent this back through Amazon I wouldn't have any, I doubt I'd have purchased another one from them. I'm more than happy to have purchased an American made product, who stand by their name and products!!! ... show more

  • Solid unit with one issue.
After reviewing many surface cleaners in this size range I picked this one for a specific job that required a compact unit. I own 4 pressure washers and an industrial surface cleaner, but needed a surface cleaner that could be attached to a 20 foot extension wand for wall cleaning. This item advertised that it could handle 3700 psi, which would be a low throttle setting for the pressure washer that I use for this job. All the other units were rated at too low a psi for my needs. As to the actual product. I feel the metal is top notch. The forming is excellent. The powder coating is perfect. Even the labels are perfectly placed. The spray bar is machined and formed well and is of substantial thickness. The center spinner appears to be bronze but does not appear to be oil impregnated, nor does it have bearings of any kind. However, I believe it will give a reasonable amount of service. The machining of the wand connection is excellent and the swivel contains o rings. Additionally, it is centered on the unit not offset as is true with some units. The brush edge is sturdy and dense, however it could be a bit taller. The brush is extremely well attached. Overall, for the price point, it is an excellent unit. Now for the problem. The engineers were obviously faced with a dilemma. How do we make a surface cleaner that is small, light weight and inexpensive, that can handle 3700 psi while not taking off like a flying saucer, while still providing reasonable effective cleaning at say 2000 psi. That’s a huge problem. The answer, is to make the nozzle orifice small enough to limit the amount of volume @ 3700 psi from lifting this light weight unit off the ground and still maintaining a good nozzle pressure with weaker, lower volume pressure washers. This design specification required a very small nozzle orifice, so small that a single gain of sand could clog it. The good news, is that with a small adjustable wrench and some care and steady hand strength you can unscrew the nozzles and blow them out. Also, if you incorporate a cartridge style pre filter to your pressure washer and make sure you run water through the entire system prior to connecting this surface cleaner. You should be good to go. As a note, I am not talking about some little in-line screen filter. I am talking about a whole house filter with a micron cartridge. There is an old saying, with regards to most challenging undertakings. Confidence is that feeling you enjoy, just prior to truly understanding the problem. You now understand the problem. Good luck guys and gals, wash on. ... show more

  • No support from company.
This works great and easy to use on my 2,500 PSI pressure washer. The problem that has arisen, is the shaft has started to leak water. I can't find any replacement parts or kits to replace the nylon split washer seals on the rotating shaft. So, I called the manufacturer and this very nice lady informs me that there are no replacement parts and that I should throw it out and order another head. Well, that's just fine for them, that way they keep selling units. However, NOT so good for the environment if we just keep throwing stuff in our landfills simply because there are no 10 cent replacement washers available. So, do your research, and find a washer head that has support in the form of repair parts. I do not recommend this company..... "Oh, just throw it away, and order a new one!!" Irresponsible and shameful if you ask me!! ... show more

  • Where have you been!
I’ve been power-washing my driveway for years with a standard attachment. This tool literally cuts out hours of time and dues a great job. I wish I would have purchased sooner!

  • Ok
I thought this would save my husband some work. It didn't seem to scrub as well as I hoped it would.
