I needed a buffet for my dining room. I was so glad that Amazon had something that I liked. This is a wonderful buffet. I wanted it in time for Christmas. I received it a few days before Xmas. This buffet is not for someone who is lazy. It took some effort for me to assemble it. You will need a drill to properly install the back panels of this piece of furniture. Well guess what, for the price and the effort it took to assemble it, it was definitely worth buying. The packaging for this piece of furniture was outstanding. It was very well packaged. The appearance and quality of the buffet is excellent. Even though it was a piece of furniture that required assembly, it does not look cheap. I uploaded two photos as proof that it is a nice looking buffet. It has the durability and style that I like. It fits into the space that I had designated for it just right and it's not to bulky. And I even love the color. My family loved it too when they saw it when they came over for Christmas dinner. I would recommend this buffet to other potential customers. Happy Customer. (A+)

Packaging and shipping was fine. It seems to be well protected by the cardboard. The look and feel it is just as shown in the picture, so can't complain. I dont know if the cabinet is solid wood as I can't tell. It doesnt feel like it is, but I could be wrong. This cabinet is aboue 3.5 stars if I could give them that. It is not super hard to assemble and instruction is correct. You need to follow the instruction to a T. Also, everything is labeled. The major issue are: The door hinge do not align well. When you screw the door bracket into the side panel, the screw needs to be all the way in otherwise the door doesnt close all the way. My 2 doors are not closing all the way in just because the imperfection of the screw. The cam lock pin lock doesnt work too well in certain area. Either the pin lock is too short or the cam lock doesnt grab onto the pin lock, therefore it is not locking it tight. There are no screw hole for the magnet, so you have to adjust them. Since my door doesnt even close all the way, I didnt use the magnet.

Wow. What a true disappointment. UPDATE #2: It is now a full SIX WEEKS later and this cabinet, no matter how beautiful it is, has to go. The entire dining area smells so bad we can't sit there. Now my dishes inside the cabinet have also picked up the same smell. If I could send it back, i would but it's assembled. Giving it time to air out or gas-off or breathe did nothing. Apparently the manufacture doesn't care either, because this poor review didn't matter to them. Nearly $300.00 US dollars thrown away. I'll never buy furniture online again. In person at a reputable furniture store, smell the darn thing and make sure it's not a dangerous odor. Lesson learned - the hard way. 1. First lets start with the color - for sure not russet brown. 2. Next - assembly. Ok, I personally, single handedly put together every single piece of unassembled furniture in my 50 years of marriage - so I have experience. This was brutal and took two solid days. 3. Regarding the stickers for which people have complained - in my case they were actually CORRECT! Well that's about all. 4. Next let's talk about the ridiculous order of assembly. No way can you put these doors on by yourself, unless of course you have three hands. 5. Now supposed 'pre drilled holes', which were non existent on one of the doors. 6. The finish on the top (of course, the side facing the main area of the room) is missing in the grooves so I have to mix up some paint eventually to fill in the white spots. 7. Ok - now SMELL. O M G! The entire house (all 1600 sq ft) stinks to high Heaven. I've had both doors open trying to air it out for days. I'll try soaking it down with furniture polish or something to 'change' the horrific smell to something more pleasant. I don't write too many critical reviews, but this caused much unnecessary aggravation. Simple quality assurance at the manufacturer could have picked up the missing drill holes, and out of line and inconsistent ON THE POSITIVE: 1. I didn't find the instructions too bad and all the hardware was there, and labeled properly, so that made it easy. 2. It looks very nice (even with uneven doors because of missing drill holes). It's cheaper than a divorce. UPDATE: The house still stinks of this horrific strong acidic smell - even after airing the cabinet out and trying to use Orange Glo to change the smell. It's awful. Still no idea how they can sell something like this. UPDATE #2: One year later and it still stinks but I can’t afford a new one. No word from the manufacturer either. Do not recommend at all!

Also, as a girl, I have assembled it easily but one door was few millimetres on a side and even my husband couldn’t fix it later. Please , install doors together with one person who can hold)))

Finally got a chance to build this after two months, and I'm impressed. At first I was a bit confused at the number of bags of hardware, but then I realized that quite a bit of it was extra hardware categorized in bags in a separate bag - a nice touch. The unit arrived very well packed, and mostly put together - just a quick matter of attaching the sides and center to the base, putting the top on, screwing the back on (a joy compared to hammering on cheaper units!) and hanging the doors. The instructions specify to use a metal 90-degree angle ruler to ensure things are true before attaching the back. I didn't have one, so I used the packing styrofoam, and things looked and worked fine. Hanging the doors was a bit fiddly and I needed an assistant to hold them while putting in the initial screws, but otherwise it was an easy one-person job. Ended up VERY sturdy, feels well made, and looks very nice! Worth the extra cost to me.
