My husband the engineer was very impressed with the construction and the precision of the manufacturing points which made putting this together relatively easy. It helps to have some experience with DIY assembly so that you don't make false starts and risk stripping out the starter holes or the screws. All the hardware is very good quality as well. The piece is heavy, levelled out readily and gave us a very good looking cabinet that I use for cookbooks and small appliances used less often like the slow cooker and instapot (no longer on top of the counter!) When installing the doors we found it helpful to stack up books to a level even with bottom of the cabinet and rest the doors upright on those while attaching doors to hinges. Use the suggestions in the instructions rather than trying to shortcut anything, makes it go together perfectly. We are buying 2 more pieces made by this company. ... show more

    • A sturdy, solid, gorgeous piece of furniture!
I am so excited about this cabinet! Do not expect to be able to move this box yourself when it arrives! Once indoors, I opened the box. Talk about well packaged! Brilliant! Not one piece was marked in the slightest. Directions were easy to follow. My husband usually puts everything together, but this time I was impatient to wait and did it myself. Truly not difficult to do. It took me a couple of hours, but it was well worth the wait. A very solid, well-constructed "kit" cabinet that know one will ever know you built yourself! It looks like the local furniture store delivered it. I can't say enough how happy I am with this product. Lots of storage space, beautiful glass doors and hardware accents. Very poor quality. Marginal fit at assembly. In barely 2 years in a quiet environment, the finish is cracking, the corners of the top are curling up and it just doesn't look very good.

The product arrived damaged, ordered a replacement item and kept the damaged item just to be safe. Replacement arrived….you guessed it damaged. And it did not appear to be shipping damage, I believe the items were damaged when they were packed up as the boxes were relatively unscathed and did not match the horrible damage some of the parts had. I was able to put together the item using two boxes. UPS was supposed to pick up the item today and left a note on the door instead. I ended up having to take the huge heavy box to the UPS store.     • Assembly was extremely difficult...
I bought this piece of furniture and was so excited because it was actually all wood, for a change, I took the parts out of the box noticed there weren't as many as I expected and thought wow this should be a piece of cake. I was wrong and it took me all weekend, two entire days, to assemble. The grommets are a terrible idea for something this large and heavy, they are not sturdy and do not stay, they also break easy. I had to pull out extra grommets I had left over from a different piece of furniture I assembled recently. Also, the front doors were not labeled correctly causing me to put one on backwards, then fix it. The grommets that are not sturdy cause the entire piece to not fit together properly. I literally had to put my own screws into the top from inside the cabinet to secure the furniture. Otherwise it was so wobbly, can't have a wobbly buffet, it's for many dishes or China etc. which is heavy. All that said it's together and looks great after my home made modifications. I would have sent it back but I just moved and have had to get refunds for two other pieces of furniture I purchased from Amazon lately and I was just ready to put this last thing together and be done unpacking. I would try to purchase from this company one more time, I feel like they have good products maybe it was just my luck to get a piece like this, also the wood cracked and broke in a spot while trying to secure the top but thankfully it isn't in a super important spot. ... show more

Several things are true in previous reviews. 1. Excellent packaging nothing broken. 2. It is solid wood, no particle board. 3. Some predrilled holes are missing. 4. No awful smell as some noted. As far as assembly. If they didn’t have nearly impossible cam screws this piece wouldn’t have sat on my living room floor for a week. My husband broke three cams initially, that was a nightmare. We called customer support which sent additional parts and a video. That wasn’t very helpful. I was ready to send it back to Amazon and settle for a preassembled table from Costco. Frustration levels were high. A carpenter neighbor of our got us through the cam placement and gave us a drill bit to borrow that helped with seating holes. Assembly was pretty easy after that. On the backing there were no pre drilled holes on middle piece. That wasn’t too much of a challenge. The challenge was the glass door in the middle. There were no predrilled holes for that door or the hinges. Trying to line up hinges door and height was tough. My husband bolstered the door on wood so we could hang in place; with our neighbors tool to set the correct drill holes it worked like a charm. The piece is beautiful and I love it in the house. It is sturdy and everything i wanted. It matches our other furniture perfectly. It is good quality. In retrospect I may have looked longer and harder for a pre assembled piece. If not for outside help I would have probably had to send it back for a refund. ... show more

    • Definitely and I mean definitely poor quality.
We spent a lot of time researching similar items and finally decided to purchase. One review had said that they did not understand the bad reviews and went into detail as to way it was actually a quality item. Well, I have no idea what that person was talking about as it was extremely poor quality. From the fit, misalignment, to pieces falling apart. We tried to make it work and it only got worse. We did up keeping it but went out and bought some "L" brackets to keep the shelves in along with wood glue and filler for other parts. I should still have pictures of the issues if anyone is interested, I can see if I can find them and upload. ... show more
