I disliked that the two drawers come out. Only a tiny piece of wood to hold. No side brackets. Draws move side to side and hang, you need to be careful the draw doesn't fall on your foot or or floor. Hazard.

Went together perfectly squared, but the hinges on one door were in the wrong place. Plus the bottom hinge was set too deep, had to shim it. Frustrating.

I bought this piece of furniture and was so excited because it was actually all wood, for a change, I took the parts out of the box noticed there weren't as many as I expected and thought wow this should be a piece of cake. I was wrong and it took me all weekend, two entire days, to assemble. The grommets are a terrible idea for something this large and heavy, they are not sturdy and do not stay, they also break easy. I had to pull out extra grommets I had left over from a different piece of furniture I assembled recently. Also, the front doors were not labeled correctly causing me to put one on backwards, then fix it. The grommets that are not sturdy cause the entire piece to not fit together properly. I literally had to put my own screws into the top from inside the cabinet to secure the furniture. Otherwise it was so wobbly, can't have a wobbly buffet, it's for many dishes or China etc. which is heavy. All that said it's together and looks great after my home made modifications. I would have sent it back but I just moved and have had to get refunds for two other pieces of furniture I purchased from Amazon lately and I was just ready to put this last thing together and be done unpacking. I would try to purchase from this company one more time, I feel like they have good products maybe it was just my luck to get a piece like this, also the wood cracked and broke in a spot while trying to secure the top but thankfully it isn't in a super important spot. ... show more

    • Pleasantly surprised, and I realized while assembling why others had issues
I guess I should give this a 4 star rating...it wasn't "perfect". There were very slight issues with staining, and s light ding, or what appeared to be a few random nail holes. there is a slight knot hole on one drawer front and the corner backing was cracked (in packing..couldn't have been be, as I was treating it like it was glass. I made a list of notes as I assembled it and studied each piece: Part D had a less than perfect stain job, as did E, J, and G (but not that bad at all and in no where you could see after the finish job. Part E had what looked like a couple of extra random nail holes, and the inside edge appeared touched up with a marker..or excess stain. Part J (drawer front) had a slight knothole, but to me, adds to the charm. Part M (Drawer bottom) appeared cracked all the way through but glued back together ...but a good job. Due to the nature of that fix, the line where it was likely previously cracked, smells like glue. All pieces , along with a bag of extra parts, were there. So why do I still give it a 5 star? Yes, these were slight issues, but just because I noticed them, doesn't mean most would, and it in no way affected the piece end result. Hardest part was leveling the drawers, but I did manage to get it done eventually, (with the aid of a toothpick for extra security, as I was worried I had taken the screws in and out too much while adjusting the doors. Plus, I learned some things in assembling that made it better than reviewers or product description had said. the most important extra was that there really are drawer stops..hard to know, but on the last page of instruction, it gives exact instructions on where they are and how to turn the pieces of wood, already attached, to keep the drawers from pulling out. The other thing I was able to do, that I saw others complain about, was adjust how far back the magnets for the door go, so that it they don't stick too strong, and make it hard to open, without pulling it over. I simply needed to move the larger magnet piece further back, just the the back edge of the line that runs down the seam of the bottom shelf....Oh, and the shelves are adjustable inside, plus the shelves have been finished on 4 sides, making them able to be turned around, if something ever happens to damage the one side. I ended up with a MUCH better than expected piece of furniture. I plan to add some pics, but my phone battery just died, so will do it later. ... show more
