This Simplebrand navy blue extra long shower curtain (72 inches wide x 84 inches long) is a simple but elegant shower curtain. It has a subtle geometric design that is far more appealing to me than springtime posies. (Yes - i am a male.) It seems so difficult to find simple shower curtains that do not contain superheroes, cartoon characters, or fancy flowers. And as to privacy, it is mostly opaque. But if total privacy is desired, it should be paired with an opaque shower curtain liner. And also - please pay attention to the length. It is 84 inches long which is longer than any other shower curtain i have ever purchased. The twelve white plastic hooks that come with the shower curtain appear to be somewhat delicate. But i was able to stretch them around my one inch diameter shower curtain rod without any of the twelve hooks snapping. But i installed them in +80°F conditions. If you were installing them in temperatures nearing freezing, i would expect a lower chance of success due to plastic’s general increase in brittleness as the ambient temperature drops. And as to the weighted hem that is referenced in the sales listing, i thought that meant that there were weights and/or magnets in the bottom of the shower curtain (as i have encountered in many other shower curtains and curtain liners.) But i checked carefully and i cannot detect any such weights in the shower curtain i received. The recommended fabric care for this 100% polyester shower curtain is machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle with similar colors. Only use non-chlorine bleach if needed. Tumble dry low heat and remove from dryer as soon as possible after the drying cycle is complete. And only use a cool iron if ironing this shower curtain. This is a simple, elegant navy blue shower curtain that achieves the purpose. I got this in a 36" width, which the listing mentions is suitable for RV showers. In my case, it was to install in a small shower stall in a vintage apartment size bathroom. That's not a common application, and I was happy to find this one available. As a shower curtain, it's not bad at all. The material doesn't cling to itself, and doesn't really hold wrinkles. While it's not what I'd call "heavy weight", it does have enough bulk and heft to it to not feel cheap. There are metal grommets at the top, as well,not just sewn eyelets, for holding the curtain ring. The only slight downside I could note is that the included shower curtain rings are really light duty and kinda flimsy plastic - with a fairly small inside diameter that might not fit all curtain rods. You might want to supplement with your own, better looking/better quality curtain rings.
