It’s a good liner for the price and holds up pretty well. My boyfriend has a hard time remembering to close the shower curtain when he’s done, so soap scum does tend to build up on it quickly even though it says resistant. I do like them though. They’re heavy duty and weighted on the bottoms so they stay in place better than cheap flimsy ones that cling to you. I buy a few every year! ... show more

    • Shower Liner is Opaque and Does a Good Job

I built a walk-in shower (4'x6') for my wife. She is disabled (Alzheimer's) and requires assistance when showering. This larger shower allows me to be in the shower with her and not get wet. The curb between the shower and the bathroom floor is about 2" high. Slight breezes would adversely affect the curtain if used alone. With the additional mass of the liner water spillage is eliminated. When I selected a Gibelle Shower Curtain it occurred to me I should protect it from mold or soap scum. This liner is white and fits in perfectly with the cultured marble panels in the shower and the shower curtain. An added benefit is the additional mass and weight which stabilizes the curtain. It should be okay to wash this liner in a washing machine. If not, I will hand wash it. I have done that with clear plastic liners with good success. The overall texture of the liner is softer than the clear plastic liners. It is also quiet when it is moved. It also helps the shower curtain hang nicely. We have been using the shower since the middle of Nov 23. Thus far, the curtain and liner are still clean. To my mind this liner does its job and what the mfgr. said it would do. It is a good product and cost less than the Big Box stores clear plastic liners. You will like it. I do. ... show more

    • The best shower curtain liner I've ever had, but no idea how to clean it

I bought this liner after my previous liners started to get funky in a couple weeks, and this beats all previous liners by far. Months and months later, it stays pretty clean with no maintenance. I will definitely be buying more of these eventually. I think this is probably the best liner I've ever had. That said, unlike 99% of everyone here is saying, it DOES eventually succumb to grossness. It's been probably half a year, and now it has some black-tinted scum on it, going up a couple feet. Looking over the page for this item, everyone says "just wipe clean!" and "never needs cleaning!", but it smells now, and I need to clean it. I ran it through a warm wash with detergent and some sheets I need cleaning, and it seemed to partially clean it, but it still has a slight smell fresh out the wash and I'm not sure how to completely clean it. I think I saw someone on here say to run it through a wash cycle with bleach and some white towels, but I don't have bleach or white towels to do so with, and for the cost of those items I could just buy a fresh one of these. I guess I could fill a tub with water and some sort of soap and try "scrubbing" it, but it's 72x72 inches of flowing material with two sides, and I have no idea how I'm meant to cover all 10,368 square inches of surface bundled up under water in my small tub. But, overall, I haven't found anything better, so I'll probably end up buying a new one of these eventually. ... show more
