  • Very informative good product
What I like about this book quite a bit is that it gives easy to follow instructions tells you what tools you're going to need how to do upgrades and even if you have any questions it gives you as much detailed information as possible includes illustrations I was very pleased with this book and it gives me more ideas of things to make and do! This book has tons of projects as well as gives you full directions on different things that can be made from simple things such as wooden spring tongs two things such as a loveseat these are really interesting items it gives you patterns how to assemble things how much would you will need what parts or what parts I could not ask for a better tutorial. ... show more

  • Good book, try a different bookseller
Good assortment of projects, plans are well presented. Recommend purchasing from Abebooks, they ship much faster. This bookseller is 140 miles from my house and it took 17 days to receive the book.

  • Great projects featured, with nice detailed illustrations.
My dad has really gotten into woodworking since his retirement, so I got him this book for Christmas. He was so excited, he started reading it right then, completely oblivious to the merrymaking going on by the rest of the family. At one point, he drew my husband into a discussion of the ingenuity of one of the projects featured in the book. This book is definitely full of some great projects, and detailed illustrations. I made sure to dog-ear the pages of the projects I wanted before heading home. LOL 😂 ... show more

  • Great for a skilled craftsmen or a committed beginner.
I got this for my recently retired father. He had been a carpenter a couple of decades ago and this is just his speed. The organization of each project is fantastic and diagrams are excellent. The variety of projects is pretty good as well.

  • You need a lot of machines for these projects they don’t even use hand tools
Really nice projects but I wish they didn’t use machines every every single step not everyone has a full commercial shop with huge commercial sized machines that cost thousands of dollars in their house. They need to start focusing on hand tools what what the average person has in their house like table saw and drills and stuff like that not everyone has a massive router table with specialty fence and machine or a commercial band saw or massive commercial table saw or huge joiners and thickness planners. It’s not prectical for most people. The steps are short too like Ok do this whole section on this commercial machine that not average woodworker owns and only someone with a commercial company would even have access to but those people aren’t buying this book because they know how to do these things already they don’t need a book telling them how to do what the legit do as a career. The people buying this book are normal people trying to do this as a hobby for fun at home. So cater to them don’t take a short cut because it’s easy for you to tell someone to do something you can do in two seconds but those people have to somehow figure out how to do this one their own in a way not shown in the book because they don’t have the machines you do. It’s Being lazy and writing a book that’s almost completely useless to someone trying to make these projects. But if I did own all these machines and has all that space and money and materials it’s a good book. ... show more
