  • Solid weight rack very reasonable price with bonus clips
This is an excellent free weight stand if you are looking to organize convenient and easy access to 300 pounds of weight. I assembled it fairly quickly with no helper utilizing an impact driver. This rack has very solid structural integrity. There is a tiny bit of very insignificant flex when you take off and replace weights. That said this rack is not going anywhere. It is very stable leaving me with zero concerns. I have 307.5 pounds on it spread fairly evenly on each side ~ 95lbs, 110lbs and 102.5lbs. There's also space underneath it which I have incorporated to hold other gear. Anothe plus is that it comes with spring clips to hold the weights in place. If you have little children about they could come in handy for safety sake, but if this is not a concern then Newton's law will keep your weights in place. The spring clips are also excellent for use to hold your weights in place on your barbells or dumbbells (which I was in need of). I was pleased as this saved me the need to purchase them separately. Finally the esthetic is admirable adding to the decor of your workout space. Recommended. ... show more

  • Sturdy and strong, excellent triangular design, and good for standard and Olympic plates alike
I got this to hold my Olympic weight plates in my home gym that I set up thanks to Covid. Although it was a huge pain to assemble, and a big heavy piece of it fell on my foot while I tried to balance it and screw it together in the beginning, it has been fantastic ever since. I actually love the design. It's VERY stable due to its triangular shape and how it sits on three legs at the base, unlike so many others I saw on here that looked like they could topple over or roll away on wheels. Lol. Also, it's great for Olympic plates even though it's made for standard plates. Olympic plates just have a wider hole in the center so the pegs are a little smaller; but that doesn't affect the functionality of the tree at all. Currently I have about 350 lbs of weights on this tree and I could add more if I want. The metal beams that hold the pegs and weights do have a slight wobble especially when you put 35 and 45 lb plates on them, because they are so long and don't connect to any kind of support frame in the middle (as you can see they just connect together at the top and then at the base, and not between). But this does NOT detract from the sturdiness or functionality of the tree in the least. Those reviews who complain about the wobble and then give it low ratings as a result - complete BS in my opinion. Yes there is a little wobble but it's STRONG. With 350 lbs on it, it's not going anywhere and I don't think I could tip it over if I tried (well unless I tried extremely hard to do that). I think this thing is a workhorse of a little weight tree due to its intelligent and sturdy design. Great product, thanks! ... show more

  • Product does what it is supposed to do.
I ordered one of these on March 28th when they went on sale for forty dollars. With my Amazon Prime membership, it qualified for free two day shipping and had an arrival date of March 30th. It did not arrive. The updated arrival date was April 1st. It did not arrive. The new estimated arrival date was April 4th. It arrived on April 3rd instead. I recognize that the shipping issues were more likely caused by Amazon than the manufacturer but it was nonetheless irritating. The product arrived with the box intact. The directions and all of the parts were inside the box. It was easy to assemble with a simple ratchet wrench. It does not arrive with its own tools for assembly so you should make sure you have your own. The rack does what it is supposed to do. It got my standard weight plates off the ground. It holds weight plates from twenty five pounds all the way down to one and a quarter pounds. I did not try anything heavier than twenty five pound plates on it as those are currently in use. My only minor quibble is that the rack will not work with my vintage threaded Bollinger weight plates. I suspect I would need racks with a three quarter inch diameter metal dowel to hold those but I doubt such a rack exists. I had frankly anticipated this issue so I was not disappointed in the product. I am subtracting one star from this rating solely because of the shipping issues. ... show more

  • Excellent Plate Rack
I must confess that I am very negligent when it comes to writing reviews. I use them all the time, but hardly ever write one myself. I have intended to write a review of this product ever since I bought it. Actually, I have two of them. They are fantastic. I have 527.5 Lbs. loaded on each rack. I'm sure the manufacturer doesn't want to know that, but they've been loaded down that way from the start. By the way, I bought them in November 2013, so I've been using them for 4 years and 11 months. Also, all of my plates are olympic style plates with a 2 inch hole. I'm not sure if the way I have my plates loaded on the rack would correspond to standard type 1 inch hole exercise plates. On one of the 3-post sides I have three (3) 35 Lb. plates on the top post. The middle post is empty, since the way I have the rack loaded there is no room for loading any plates on it. On the bottom post I have one (1) 100 Lb. plate which is not really resting on the post but is actually resting on the ground. The post is really just there to make sure the plate doesn't roll off (honestly, not much chance of that happening). On the other 3-post side I have three (3) 2.5 Lb. plates on the top post. I have six (6) 5 Lb. plates on the middle post. I have three (3) 10 Lb. plates on the bottom post. On the 2- post side I have three (3) 25 Lb. plates on the top post. I have four (4) 45 Lb. plates on the bottom post. I may get some more 45 Lb. plates in the future. Those 100 Lb. plates are really hard to handle (I would never have bought them if I had it to do over). I will probably just put them in front of each of the 100 Lb. plates. I don't have the least hesitation in doing so, since I don't think it will bother these racks one bit. In my opinion these are the best plate racks you can get. ... show more

  • Great tree
I use olympic-sized plates (with a 2" hole) but chose this tree with standard 1" posts because it is easier to hang the plates and lift them off with the smaller posts. Gravity holds them on just fine because the posts are all inclined. The tree does a great job with as small a footprint as possible. I really like the solid welding of the posts, which can hold as much weight as you can fit on them without bending. Other plate racks require you to attach the posts to the tree with bolts, which is a much less sturdy design. Others mention the tree bending slightly. There is a little bit of flex in the vertical pieces when you are loading a lot of weight on it. But this is not a reason to be concerned because the tree will hold the weight just fine and the rack stays completely stable. I actually prefer the little bit of flex since it acts like a shock absorber when you are slamming on the bigger plates. I keep over 400 lbs on mine. There is a cup holder on the top that I think is a great touch. I'm always looking for somewhere to set my water bottle in the weight room. Also, it came with eight standard sized collar clamps. I don't know why they include these. I guess you could add a clamp to each post after the weights are on but you don't need them at all because of gravity and the angle of the posts. If you use standard sized weight bars, you might find the extra clamps useful for your bars. I love this rack. I have a couple of others but wish I had bought more of these instead. ... show more

  • Good quality and sturdy.
Item is exactly as described. Sturdy when assembled. Second pair of hands made lining up and getting fasteners into bottom legs so much easier. Finish on the metal is well done.
