I can not believe I only paid this little for an amazing well made product. My cat is an average size cat and he fits in there with plenty of room to move. There are 2 pockets on one side to put things in. There is mesh in the other 3 sides making it so the cat can see and get proper ventilation. Sturdy straps and handles. The carrier is good for the price, no doubt. The only issue I see is that the covered board that gets stuck to the bottom with velcro is lined with a very thin plastic (the top of the board is covered with material, so it's comfortable for the cat). I'm afraid that if I have to take it off to put it away more than a few times, the plastic will rip (like a budget shower curtain type plastic, thin and fragile). Other than the plastic part, it seems fairly well made and sturdy enough. If it does rip, I will put a pillow case over it, not sure how I will fasten it to the bottom yet, but it's still worth the money. ... show more

I ordered the carriers, and they arrived just in time to take our cats to their first vet appointment. When they arrived, I discovered that the zippers are not self-locking. I did not have time to get anything else, but regretted not making more time because... The cat can escape from the carrier in the car (twice) and at the vet's (twice). Cat pushed on the top and the velcro open, pushed his head through, and unzipped the top. We tried to clip the zipper pull to the strap hook, but there was still enough room to push the top open. If the zippers had locked as the ad says, he would not have gotten through. The other cat pawed at the side and put a nickel-sized hole in the screen in less than 5-minutes in the bag. It should be cat claw-proof. There is no reason that it should rip that easily. It was a good size, and the pad is soft and easy to clean, but the bags took a bit to get the spray smell out from the male cat. ... show more
