Bought for my chicken coop- not to provide amazing amounts of heat just to take the edge off for my girls in the middle of the frozen night. It’s been on every night now for the most part for about a month, I use it in a ceramic base as you should, I also dusted it off every now and again because bird dander is highly flammable (In fact, I think that’s why a lot of chicken heat lamps wind up causing fires; people don’t understand that that dust from your chicken feathers is like kindling). These are a much safer option. Great price especially for two.
