This light I bought in October this year and didn’t get put into the new enclosure until almost 3 weeks later in November has already gone out. I checked the connection of the bulb on the fixture and it will not come on. This is disappointing. These things are costly and is much needed by my animal. Now I have to buy another one just a month later ... show more

I bought two of these to use in a light box for drying varnish, and they work really well! Nice and bright, and they don't get too hot (the interior of my box never goes over 80F). After a couple months of intermittent use, I had a problem with one of the bulbs so I contacted the company through Amazon. They responded right away and resolved the problem quickly. Very impressed! Some people are claiming this fixture/bulb doesnt produce the claimed uvb output that the manufacturer claims. I sure hope it does because I bought the biggest one and an extra uvb replacement bulb. Wish I could afford to splurge and buy a $250-300 uvb light output meter. Can I verify this light is not sufficient based on unverified claims, no I can't. I can only hope this light fixture and Repti zoo H.O. 10.0 uvb bulb is delivering for the health of my two awesome pet Tegu lizards. I sure would like to test and find out for sure. ... show more

In the description it says the 54W is perfect for 48" enclosure. There is a marketing picture of it mounted on the inside of an enclosure. This light will not work on the inside of a 48-in enclosure. With the power cord inserted into the light, it is longer than 48 in where the power supply sticks out. It will work fine on top of a 48-in enclosure but absolutely not inside a 48-in enclosure unless it is mounted diagonally. They need to change their description of this product because of that. When I received it, I threw away the Amazon box but kept the product box. When I took it to UPS to ship it back they made me pay $15 for a new box just to ship it back to them. Super super frustrating considering the description says it is perfect for a 48-in enclosure with a picture of it mounted on the interior. Again, works fine if you're sticking this on top of an enclosure, but not if you're putting it inside. ... show more
