Needed new power supply for the upgraded Geforce RTX4060 low profile card I got for my Lenovo desktop, so got this SilverStone SFX version. Seems perfect and is much smaller than standard ATX and allows for more room in the case. I use it with SFX to ATX bracket (PP08B). Power supply is super quiet, PC inside temperature is low so everything seems to run very efficiently. Bit expensive yet I still think it's well worth it, hopefully will last many years.

Keeps the demanding hardware in this teeny tiny case fed with clean, stable, delicious power. Virtually silent at all loads. Cables are a bit long for an SFX PSU, but most people end up getting braided or silicone custom length cables (check the e of bay, they're worth the $50 or so). Handles a 5800X and an unlocked 6800XT, both heavily overclocked, without breaking a sweat.

purchased this product because it was compatible with the new 40 series graphics cards from Nvidia. I did not want to have to use the supplied adapter with the graphics card and have multiple cables. Running to the PSU. This product included its own 12VHPWR cable that makes a single connection between it and the graphics card. Much cleaner than using multiple cables. Product is quiet and looks great in my SSUPD Meshlicious SFF case. It is powering my 5800X3D and 4090 Founders Edition. No issues, would recommend and buy again

I bought this PSU in January 2023 to put into my FormD T1 V2 case for to power my 13900K and soon 4090 because there just aren't many options out there for powerful SFX PSUs of this power without having to go up to SFX-L which is a little too big for this case. After having this a few months I can offer my review. PROs: The 850R is pretty quiet, likely similarly to the popular Corsair 750W SFX PSUs that are recommended a lot among the SFF community. And it's a nice metal design that especially fits with a lot of builds with it's black color and metal finish especially with brush aluminum builds. I like that the unit comes with a 12VHPWR port so there is no need to use multiple PCIe cables to power Nvidia's latest GPUs and you can have a nice clean build, which in the case for SFF builds, you want as few cables as possible to have room to work with. This is among the most powerful PSUs you can get in the market at 850W without having to go SFX-L such as the SX1000 or having the ports stick outside the dimensions of the unit like the new upcoming CoolerMaster SFX 1100W and 1300W PSUs, which these options may be too big for a number of SFF cases. 850W will be enough for a 13900K/4090 combo build if you're not planning on overclocking and especially if you undervolt your hardware which is recommended for SFF builds and even regular builds anyways. CONs: There's not many, but I would have to agree with the other reviewers in saying that the only thing that prevents me from giving this a perfect 5 star rating are the cables. The cables in summary are pretty bad as they are too stiff and too long which is a bad combination for SFF builds. Depending on your case build, you COULD make it work, but it will be a challenging task to cram that much stiff cable in your build if it is around T1 size (9.95L) or less. The cables are very difficult to bend and you have to work with them to finally get them to fold tightly enough. To make matters worse is them being too long which means more cabling you have to fold and find places to cram them inside your case. If you forgot a component to install or need to change out something, good luck reworking these cables. I've just got my new custom cables from CableMod that I had order along side getting this PSU back in January for this PSU, and they are much easier and have more room to work with. And I just recently discovered after using the custom cables, connecting and disconnecting the out-of-the-box default cables are much more difficult than the custom cables I now have. I felt like I had to put a lot of strength and lots of wiggling just to pry the connection out or if connecting up, snap them in place compared to the custom cables. OVERALL: This is still a very solid, quiet PSU unit for those looking to get the most power you can get for their SFF builds without having to size up and reduce your workable space inside your case. I am happily satisfied with what this unit serves for me. I can see why some may consider this unit among recommendations right next to Corsairs' 750W SFX, which add my hat to the ring of recommending this the 850R too. My only issue is just with SilverStones's default cables. If anyone from SilverStone reads these reviews, I really wish and would hope they would put the extra investment in delivering cables of flexibility and proper length for SFF builds being it's an SFF PSU. May even set an example for other PSUs makers who still use ATX lengths and such for SFF PSUs. I would've even been willing to pay a little more if it meant affording the cost of SFF friendly cables.

This power supply is absolute garbage. Apparently SilverStone has zero QA and their claimed burn-in process is a lie. Imagine my frustration trying to get a defective power supply to power up my PC when it never worked to begin with. Thankfully I had an old power supply laying around to confirm that it was the SilverStone and not my build that was broken. Other than that, the cables that come with this power supply are the worst I've ever seen. They're flat and have very little flexibility, and what little movement they have is in two directions (e.g. up and down, but not left or right) due to this ridiculous side-by-side flat cable configuration. They're also very long which usually isn't what people want when they're buying a small form factor power supply. In the end I returned this product and purchased a Corsair SF series which is far superior in every way. Not only did it power up immediately with zero issues, it also has very high quality, individually wrapped cables that are a joy to manage. Don't think you're saving anything by buying this SilverStone unless you want to gamble wasting time on a return in the worst case or fight the awful cables in the best case. I wish I could give this zero stars. You have been warned!

I bought the Silverstone SX650-G after having a great experience with the SX800-LTI on another build. To me, they are the best sff psus on the market, next to Corsair's offerings. The best part is that they are readily available! My build is an AMD 5600x with a 3060ti FE. 650w is plenty of power to run this rig. The case is a Cooler Master NR200, where the Silverstone's SFX form factor pays huge dividends on space. I used the included OEM modular cables and they are shortened for sff use. They are on the rigid side so get your zip ties ready to lock them down.

True SFX form factor, turned out to be smaller than I expected. For the wattage and efficiency rating, this is a very compact PSU, exactly what I was looking for. The cable lengths are strange, the EPS 12v is loooong but the ATX 24-pin is relatively short. I've had it running for a week and a half so far without problems, though I'm currently only running it at half capacity max. Will be upgrading my PC with more power hungry components in the next week or two. I like that it does not have a "fanless" mode, which caused problems in previous Silverstone models. The fan still spins at low loads, but is virtually silent.
