The NXT allows you to mount the basketball goal to a wall outdoors or indoors – perfect for garages, barns, schools, camps, gyms, and more. Including the backboard, rim, nylon net, and wall mount, this basketball hoop comes partially assembled with attached hardware allowing you to assemble your goal in 120 minutes or less. Mounting hardware is not included. The 54" W x 33" H Infinity Edge backboard has edges that wrap around to the back of the backboard as one continuous material for increased rigidity. The spring- activated rim flexes under pressure, similar to professional-style rims. The pro-style breakaway rim also protects the backboard and prevents player injuries. Using an all-steel crank actuator, the basketball hoop is adjusted from the NBA and NCAA regulation rim height of 10 feet to the safety-approved 7.5 feet. I was apprehensive about finding an affordable good quality hoop and backboard that would attach to my carport and offer both sturdiness and height adjustability. Yesterday I finished the installation and it is absolutely perfect. I seldom write reviews but feel compelled to share my satisfaction when a product is actually better than anticipated. Since the unit is so new I can't vouch for its longevity but I am a 70 year old handyman and I have seen a lot of poor equipment being falsely advertised as "quality." So what makes it so good? The steel is thick and extra stable. The nuts and bolts go together easily and stay together with the locknuts threading beautifully. The rim is incredibly sturdy. And the fit and finish is superb at this price level. I guess you can tell that I am a very satisfied customer who is often quite critical (just ask the Mrs.:-)) So far I believe this hoop will be a winner with my 5 kids and 5 grandkids. It adjusts smoothly to different heights. If there is one thing I predict could be a problem it will likely be the shiny plexi surface which will probably look pretty bad by the end of the summer due to scuffing. So not perfect but still a definite 5 star. Did I say it was also beautiful? and did I say the installation manual was about the best I have ever seen with any product? Kudos to the company who put the time, effort and expense into this feature which makes installation a doable thing for many. ... show more

This is well made and looks great, but while the instructions are accurate, you might really hurt yourself installing it. They want you to hoist it up where it goes, all in one piece. It's too heavy and awkward to do that. After we put it all together, we found that it was best to break it down into 3 sections: the wall bracket, the arm, and the backboard with the hoop attached. Then, we cut down a piece of plywood to fit the size of the bracket and drilled holes for mounting the bracket to it. Next we mounted the plywood to the wall, without the bracket. Once the plywood was attached to the wall, we mounted the bracket to it with some very long lag bolts that went completely through to the other side of the wall. We had to buy the bolts & nuts at the hardware store. With the bracket in place, we then attached the arm. Once the arm was in place, we attached the backboard. That's how this 65yr old husband and wife team got the job done without hurting ourselves. ... show more

Grandkids and even parents loved the backboard. Easy to follow instructions for install and did it myself. Really like the easy height adjustment , well made and looks good at a very reasonable price.

I like this product. It was easy to install with one exception I note below. The directions were clear and easy to follow and laid out in a way that even my ADD, can't follow plainly obvious instructions somehow could follow just fine. :) Packaging: Excellent. I do recommend opening it up where you want to work. Once you get those straps off, you aren't moving it again without pulling everything out. Bear in mind you may find you need to do structural work after taking the mounting plate and visualizing where it is going to go and where the holes will go. So don't put it in your drive way or in a parking spot because it might be there for a while until you get the structural work done. Installation: I had to do a fair amount of structural work to mount it on my garage where I wanted it but that is in no way a slight on this product. Once I got the structural work done it installed fairly easily adhering to the instructions and feels very sturdy. It isn't going to fall down. I had real problems putting the backboard up. I was able to do this by myself very easily even though the instructions say it requires two people, but the studs on the lower arm were not aligned correctly to the holes in the backboard so I had to ream the holes in the backboard in order to get it on. I do not expect to have to modify a product in order to use it out of the box and per the instructions. This is a legitimate quality control and process problem with this product. Use After Installation: Once installed the backboard does wobble a little bit but It's solid enough. The crank shaft to raise and lower the hoop is extremely short. I mounted the hoop at the exact height suggested in the instructions and the hoop measures to be at regulation height once raised the entire way. I'm a 6ft tall guy and I have to have my arms high above my head in order to raise and lower this hoop. Given this is almost always for children and not professional basket ball players that are freakishly tall, the crank is unacceptably short. Summary All in all I like this product. My dislikes are (to summarize from above) 1. Studs on lower arm don't align with holes in backboard require reaming the backboard 2. Crank is very short. Only taller people can use it. ... show more

This is a pretty solid hoop and easy to assemble/install. I did not need a second pair of hands as you install most of the pieces one by one on to the wall mount. Putting the backboard up was also easy once all the parts were installed. Be sure not to tighten the screws as instructed otherwise you will have to loosen few of them to get the spacer in between the upper support arms in one of the later steps. For the wall mount I wasn't sure whether to install directly on to the hardie board siding or cut out the sections and put blocking in. I went with direct install. That was the most time consuming part figuring out the placement with studs and cross bracing for solid lag screw installation. I also used washers and nuts to make the mount flush against the hardie board (pictures attached) Overall happy with the purchase. Hopefully it lasts. ... show more
