Compliant with all food contact regulations, platinum silicone is a reliable and safe material, free of PFAS and BPA. We recommend not to use aggressive detergents, brighteners or perfumers for washing the molds in the dishwasher. In fact, the appearance of a white patina on the surface of the mould may occur, altering the flavors of the food in subsequent cooking. Nevertheless, it will be enough to place them in the oven (without any dough) for about an hour at a temperature of 200-220 ºC. White or coloured stains may form on the surface of the mould if special ingredients such as cocoa butter or tomato sauce are used; this is normal, the safety and functioning of the product is not compromised. To remove such stains, it will be enough to place them in the oven (without any dough) for about an hour at a temperature of 200-220 ºC.

The pic is another flan where I got the caramel wrong, I should have watered it before pouring it in rather than just pouring the hot sugar in. Oh well, I can peel it off and just coat the thing with normal caramel sauce. These clean up great if you oil and flour them for cake type things and the cakes come out nicely. The flan fights back a lot more so the cleanup is not as easy. I expect to spend 10-15 more min cleaning it again after 2 cleanings. I haven't tried these with Jello as I don't do gelatin/agar agar deserts very often. Clean up should be a breeze for Jello. ... show more
