High speed DDR5, don't let the 4800mhz fool you, it might not be 5600mhz, but you might be surprised that there are a lot of proprietary laptop setups that aren't even able to utilize an XMP Profile to actual make use of 5600mhz, also the 4800mhz with low CAS and timing, from what I understand really are the factors that are most important when determining RAM speed and functionality within your particular rig. There are several RAM speed calculators you can Google Search and find that will allow you to input the timing, CAS, and frequency as well as whether your system has an XMP profile, etc. This will ultimately help you find the best, fastest RAM for your particular device. Don't fall for the gimmick that they high number means that it is faster. You must take CAS Latency and Timing into effect to find out what your really getting out of your RAM. In my specific use situation, I was very easily able to upgrade from 16gb RAM to 32gb ram with this like latency RAM which works looks any other with the same quality, functionality, you would see in pricier components. The particular laptop I updated was the ASUS Tuff A16 AMD Ryzen 7 -7000, with Radeon RX 7700S dedicated graphics. This memory upgrade helps to expand the working cache when gaming, especially with large file sizes. Got this to upgrade the RAM on my Lenovo Legion 5. It initially came with 16GB and when I first got it I upgraded to 32GB of Crucial RAM. That worked good but Firefox is such a RAM hog that if I had too many windows open my computer would come to a crawls and sometimes freeze up. Would have gotten the Crucial 64GB upgrade kit but this was like $50-60 cheaper. Works fine. Stable. Tested it with a couple of different RAM tests and no errors or issues. So initially, I had no issues with these modules (2 x 32GB, DDR5-4800). My laptop ran smooth and I got better FPS (frames per second) in a few of the games I played. About 2-3 weeks after I installed these, I noticed small stutters when gaming AND when doing basic internet surfing for school. A couple of days ago I got my first "blue screen of death" on this laptop. Today during class, I got 3 in LESS THAN 1 HOUR! As soon I got home, I re-seated both RAM sticks AND both of my SSD's - still got the blue screen. When I tried to reset my PC, it just froze. I re-installed my old RAM sticks (thank god I kept them!) and there are no issues a few hours later. I've only had these installed for about 34-35 days. I don't recommend these if you don't want any problems. Just spend a little more on a better brand, it'll save you a headache in the end.
