  • Speeded up video editing
Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - DDR4 3200 Color: Dual-Channel (Camouflage Grey)
Late in 2022, I bought a decently powerful Lenovo computer. It had a nice graphics card (nVidia RTX 2060) but only 16GB of RAM. I wanted to up the RAM to 32GB, but my options were limited: The Lenovo motherboard had only two memory slots. (My photo shows the two Silicon Power 16GB RAM modules in the Lenovo's memory slots.) I had to pull out the existing 16GB of RAM (two 8GB cards) to upgrade the memory. Fortunately, these Silicon Power 16GB RAM modules were affordable. They fit perfectly in the slots and the Lenovo computer recognized them immediately. I don't do any gaming, but I do lots of video editing. In fact, this computer is really just for me to use for video editing. Between the good graphics card and now 32GB of RAM, the computer is a smooth video editor, even for 4K video. I have no complaints with these Silicon Power memory cards. They were quite reasonably priced, they fit my computer easily, and they gave me the extra RAM to make editing video smoother. I recommend these Silicon Power memory cards. ... show more

  • perhaps 5 stars when it comes to value
Size: 16GB (8GBx2) - DDR4 3200 Color: Dual-Channel (Metallic Grey)
so i bought these straight out, k. i was changing thr motherboard and since that's monumental even with the a win os, i decided to go a bit overboard and future-proof it. trust me, unless you're a crazed gamer, no one need 32gb of ram, k. so with these 2 additional sil pow dimms, that's where i'm at now. mind u, i was great at 16gb. more later. these seem to work fine, the cl value matched up perfectly with the g.skill dimms already in place. a couple negs: 1) when using a z590 msi mboard, they show up as "unknown," but can still be oc'd and 2) they're about 3/8" taller than the g.skill in the slot. i like that they are substantial and hopefully shed heat better than the g.skill. btw, their specs seem to match but the sil power were a tad cheaper. getting back to real-world use. even with this additional ram, in windows 10 it's rare to go above 6gb of usage. some may believe with that amount, there's no need for a page file; i'd say ALWAYS keep a page file as it's a good backup. with lots of ram (8gb) the page file will likely be minimal. the moral of this story - it's good ddr4 ram. ... show more

  • Amazing Value and Preformance!!
Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - DDR4 3200 Color: Dual-Channel (Camouflage Grey)
The SP RAM kit here is amazing for when I bought it in September of 2022 for my first pc, I still daily drive it in my system and it's just great for the price. It looks very nice in my opinion and it's just great.

  • Good; but decieving heatspreaders
Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - DDR4 3200 Color: Dual-Channel (Camouflage Grey)
This is good memory from a company I have long trusted, but be forewarned that these modules have a heat spreader ONLY on one side! One side has the spreaders (with a printed on design, sorry, no engraving on these) and the other side is bare chips. tl;dr, typically ram modules shown with spreaders have them on BOTH banks of chips and these do not. They perform with no issues at their XMP rated speeds with only barebones cooling, so there are no functional issues with this setup; but it is a cosmetic one and also bugs me since I prefer to have spreaders on the chips of modern memory due to high clock speeds, voltages, and thus increased power usage/dissipation at the XMP speeds. Other than that, solid memory! ... show more

  • Great cheap option for gaming
Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - DDR4 3200 Color: Dual-Channel (Camouflage Grey)
Great option for a first time build. Not as snazzy looking as a lot of other gaming RAM, but that's not the point of RAM. It does a great job for half the price of other options!

  • It works but issues when using XMP Profile
Size: 32GB (16GBx2) - DDR4 3200 Color: Dual-Channel (Camouflage Grey)
Pros: RAM on a budget... It works and gave 32GB in a new budget gaming PC build. Not much more to say about this, its RAM and it works... Use SP for a few items, RAM, SSD, etc. over the years and had no issues. Cons: System will BSOD and lockup when XMP profile is active, consistently. I have a budget gaming build put together for my son with Gigabyte Aorus B450 M mainboard, Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 32GB Silicon Power Value Gaming RAM, 1TB Silicon Power SSD, Nvidia GTX 980 Ti, TP-Link TX3000E WiFi card, and a Rosewill 750 watt modular power supply... All in a basic mid-tower case. Nothing fancy, everything bought on a deal new except the CPU and GPU which were donated from my main gaming machine when I upgraded. Everything works perfectly until I enable the XMP profile for the RAM in the BIOS, when enabled the system will boot but will Blue Screen of Death and crash shortly after login every time... Turn off the XMP profile and everything works perfectly. I only knocked off one star because it could be something I am doing or just the combination of components I have don't like the XMP profile as it's built-in to the RAM... I also haven't messed with stuff to try to make it work, like adjusting the voltage a little or things like that, because I need consistency of working over peak performance in this machine, and it might work with a little tweaking. Also, overclocking just the RAM provides minimal performance improvement, even in benchmarks, especially in a machine with a dedicated GPU. For now it's working... basically for $2 per GB for DDR4 RAM I am not going to complain, but it doesn't seem to be the quality of Crucial, Giel, Corsair, G.Skill, etc... but then again it doesn't cost as much. Then again, if it works I guess you can't complain too much. We will see how it works over time I guess. ... show more
