After research into cutting options for homemade tcg cards, I found that the Cameo 5 was considered amongst the best. I've been able to easily print and cut a couple hundred cards by now and largely can confirm this as true. It takes a little setup to dial it in and it's a big too large for most people to keep on their computer desk, but overall I'd highly recommend this for any amateur tcg makers. Works flawlessly with the app on windows 11. It cuts Quickly, quietly, and precisely according to the print and cut settings in the app. I utilize it to cut premium printer paper that's been laminated with 3mil pouches, and it's done an amazing job every time. One day I may test out cutting vinyl stickers or cardboard stuff too to see how versatile it is, but for now I'm very happy with what I use it for day to day. It's a bit steeply priced for cutting cards like this, but once you've cut a few hundred card decks you'll be happy you bought it and upgraded from those manual rotary cutters.

UPDATE 3.4.26 The seller quickly resolved the license key issue. Kudos to them! You may want to avoid this machine if you are a Mac user, though. The software on Mac is really bad. It's clearly a terrible port of the Windows version by lazy/incompetent developers. None of the standard hotkeys work. None of the buttons or menus are where they should be (standard menus/buttons). You want to copy/paste? You better use your mouse, because hotkeys do not work. (see attached video for an example) I'm guessing the reviews saying it's difficult to use are Mac users. Because it's awful on the Mac and I'm considering returning this machine just because of that. It was difficult to bluetooth-pair the machine to the computers that will be using it. It's sluggish and slow on a "tricked out" Mac laptop. The other thing is the software. They've dedicated an entire panel to what is essentially one big advertisement that you can't get rid of. That's an automatic 3-star deduction. I could love the machine more than anything, but the forced ads to use it warrant a two-star rating at best, and it can only go down from there. If you buy it, consider grabbing an old version of the software so you aren't faced with a wall of ads just for trying to use the machine. (They pretend it's a [useless] blog, but it's really a bunch of ads.) If I wasn't a tech expert and if I hadn't figured out how to block these ads on the network level, I would box it back up and send it back right now. If you want to force ads on me, the machine should be free. Otherwise, get that crap off my screen. I haven't decided if I'm actually going to keep this or not. The experience on a Mac is abysmal. As I say below, if that development team worked for me, the manager of that team would have two weeks to fix it or start cleaning out their desk. I can't believe that in 2026, this company allowed that to go into production. It's not 1999 anymore and people expect *real*, well-developed software in both environments. Succinct breakdown as to why this is a one-star machine: 3 stars removed for forced ads in the software. 3 stars removed for the terrible Mac version of the software. Result: -1 star. I would remove 4 stars for the terrible Mac software, but I guess it does work - more or less. I've attached a screenshot of the glorified ad wall that they force on you. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep or return this. But you might want to consider avoiding if you are a Mac user. --- ORIGINAL REVIEW: When it arrived and I tried to set it up, it said my Business Edition License Key was already used. Also, the software for the Mac, at least from first blush, is a really terrible port of the Windows version. You can't easily paste into fields and the GUI is awful. If you have to go back, it can't remember who you are, and you have to re-sign-in over and over again. And you can't Cmd-Paste. It just makes a capital V. You can't "escape" out of the screens. It is incredibly bad. I'm an I.T. professional and if my team released an interface that god-awful, they'd get fired. If I can't get immediate help/support from them, I'm going to box it up and send it back. I've read that they will get back to me in 2 business days. I'm not OK with waiting 2 days to fully use something I just bought. We will see. I will update if I get help.

I FINALLY upgraded my Silhouette 2 after 6 years to the this 4 and was so resistant because of mixed reviews. Now I'm like why didn't I do this sooner?! I am IN LOVE with my new Silhouette Cameo 4!!! CON: 1. So far my *only* negative has been that if my vinyl isn't laying completely flat on the plastic mat while cutting it will make cut marks as the blade drags over it even if no intention to cut that area. As someone who uses mats even when the sticky is gone it means I have to make sure its extra taped down. I didnt have this issue with my 2. 2. There are more nuances and things to mess with and remember but that is because it has more capabilities. I had to watch Youtubes to learn alot of the functions and what needs to be adjusted to what before. PROS: 1. This is worlds faster than my old 2. It can also cut details so much better! I use my Silhouette most to make stencils for glass etching and my designs are often small and detailed. I am beyond excited at its capability! 2. I like the auto adjust blade. I don't have to do anything other than adjust settings in the software. 3. I tried cutting 651 vinyl with no mat and it worked with no issue!!! Make sure to watch tutorials in order to adjust rollers 4. I LOVE that it has a vinyl roll holder!!! I also make signs and have a big wedding order coming up. This will make things so much easier and smoother! 5. I tried print and cut stickers for the first time! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I was intimidated about it and heard its finicky sometimes but I have cut 20 stickers and not an issue yet. 6. I love the black. Its so sleek! Honestly this machine has been a game changer for growing my small business!

The hardware and set-up instructions provided by the company were seriously lacking. To get my machine to connect to my computer after getting no useable support from the company, which by the way has no voice support, only email support that takes a full day to receive an answer, I used ChatGPT. My solution was simple: buy a HDMI A to B cord that the company did not provide and connect the machine to my computer with it, then after it connects once, it will connect via Wi-Fi in the future. After two days of trying to get the machine to work using the manufacturers instructions, ChatGPT fixed the problem. Chat GPT and CoPilot were used to continue the set-up issues, not the manufacturers instructions as they were confusing and simply did not work. Copilot said while the machines are updated, the set-up instructions are not. Purchases should buy the HDMI cord, I got mine at Walmart, before even trying to set up the machine. Then, use an AI program for the set-up instructions that will actually work. It will save you time and frustration. I gave it 4 stars as it works great once I got it to operate.

Everything is very guided when setting up the account, which makes it much easier for beginners. It has truly been a great buy and I definitely recommend it.

Wowzers! I am so excited about this purchase. It's the first time I've ever owned something like this and I'm so excited for it to help me with my quilling projects and saving my hands from having to cut tiny things. The set up was super easy and it seems pretty easy to learn. Since I do quilling it's important that the paper fibers don't bend when I'm cutting the background shape to fill in so I got the static cutting board and that is amazing!!! I love it so much! If you can do canva you can definitely learn how to use the software for this machine.
