WE had to leave these outside in the Arizona sun for about 2 weeks. They really smelled like burnt asphalt. eventually the smell went away. We got the same brand in the 20 lb. and they had no smell at all,go figure

Can't describe these dumbells any better than in the title above. They're easy to grasp and hold, plus they have a rubberized coating that I can't imagine them scratching, rolling or sliding off of any storage shelf or table.
