I needed a mat to protect my floor from my elliptical's feet and to stop it sliding around The mat is fairly thick and compressible between fingers, but it is surprisingly light. It's not rubber, despite the description... "Heavy Duty Thick Real Rubber Mat Exercise Equipment Floor Mat" After unrolling it, it lays pretty flat straight away. Just a slight lifting up near the end, which was in the center of the roll. It quickly settles down. The back is textured for grip and the upper surface has a smoother texture. This product is remarkable. Lightweight but strong. I was moving a treadmill onto it but one of the little legs tugged on it and I saw it stretch so far but it did not tear at all. Love it.

This stopped my treadmill from “walking” while I am running. It was easy to unroll and install under the tread. It’s a little thin, but hopefully it will last for a while. I think the price was fair for what I received.
