This is probably one of the worst purchases I’ve made on Amazon when it comes to quality and price of product. First, the most of the boxes were damaged and had been taped up in transit. Second, the weights themselves looked worn and used, were covered in this cellophane type wrap that was next to impossible to remove. Third, the delivery was missing a 35lb weight. Fourth, the so called 45lb Olympic bar has loose fittings on it and actually rattles. Fifth, both 45lb weights included in the delivery will not fit onto the Olympic barbell. The hole in the center is not wide enough. Unbelievable! Sixth, there is a horrible smell that this set has been off gassing. God only knows what I’ve been inhaling. Having to leave the doors and windows open to air out my gym now. Worst quality product I think I’ve ever purchased!!! ... show more

As far as the set is concerned, it is a good set IF you get the entire set upon delivery. I am giving it 5 stars because the product is GREAT, and the rating should always be about the product, but I am unsatisfied with the delivery issues below. I ordered these weights twice now and each delivery came with the same issue-MISSING PARTS! The first time I ordered it, all of the weights (25lbs x2/10lbs x2/5lbs x2/2.5lbs x2) came but the bar and the clips never arrived. I made contact with Amazon and they advised they would send a new COMPLETE set as ordered at no cost to me. They were very understanding and fixed the issue immediately. That new set just arrived and it was literally just the bar, clips, and 1 25lb weight. Now, I am unsure if this is Amazon's fault or FedEx (the first delivery)/UPS (the second delivery) but I am sure that it is an issue that needs to be worked out. I understand there are a lot of loose/heavy pieces but I was still bothered by this. All of the pieces, except the orginal bar and clips, did eventually arrive. It took two attempts to get this shipped to me but it is what I wanted and expected. One thing that I have never seen before is that the barbell is actually three pieces that screw together. I have never seen an Olympic barbell do that but leave it to the Chinese to come up with it. It seems pretty solid and able to hold the weight so I can't complain. Before you decide which to order make sure you have the right size barbell. I ordered a 7-footer and it barely fits in my room. All a matter of preference. ... show more

I like this set quite a bit. It's nice and I like that the plates have hand grips built in for other than bar work lifting. My issue is with that the packaging was not sealed well and in many oddly shaped boxes for the plates and then to boot it was delivered in the rain and the boxes essentially disintegrated and all plates were soaked. Also one of the bar clamps was missing too. Was it lost in the torn box or after from being soaked I'll never know. Id still recommend this set but just be mindful of the packaging. ... show more

The quality of the product seems very good, but unfortunately all of the items were not in the box that was shipped. Amazon will accept a return but cannot replace the items that were missing.
